We were 4 people for dinner and had an unpleasant experience here. It seemed like a nice place with a nice view. The wait staff was friendly and somewhat attentive. We ordered calamares as a starter and the main course was two ribeye steaks, pork ribs and a burger. The calamares are the premade frozen kind you get at the store, so disappointing. The burger and ribs meal was ok, nothing special but just fine. The ribeyes should have been medium and medium rare but came really well done, asked for new ones and then got rare/hardly-kissed-the-pan steaks, but didn't want to complain again so ate them. The most mind blowing part of the whole dinner was the water bottle we got served. According to the waiter it had just been opened before it was served at the table, but it had so much mineral deposits floating around and gross mold on the inside of the neck and top of the bottle we had to ask if it really had been just opened with all this gunk in the bottle and he responded that yes it was brand new, so we pointed out the date on the bottle which was 2019, 5 years old! Which he tried to explain away and ended with "let me talk to my boss". Seems like they reuse bottles with tap water and sell it as expensive bottled water, at least we didn't have to pay for it but it was gross as we had some of it before discovering the gunk. Will...
Read moreBooked a table for 8.00 ordered drinks and finally got to order food @8.30 .. starter was ok but not great calamari clearly frozen not fresh no lemon alioli was more mayo .. then the waitress asked if we would like desserts to which we informed her we hadn’t had our main course yet .. 9.15 we asked how long our mains would be told 5 mins finally 9.30 they arrived steaks were ordered medium and medium rare both cut in to them they were raw .. at this point we complained and they were going to do them again at which point I’d gone past looking forward to my meal said we were more than happy to pay for the drinks and the starter but we no longer willing to wait for this to be rectified the waiter/ manager I assume was giving me the excuses of how the steak is expensive and how a kitchen is run .. I HAVE WORKED IN PROFESSIONAL KITCHENS! I have worked in hospitality and from were I was sat this is being run by no more than kids who had no clue.. I sat with an empty glass for 15 mins basics you know how. To look after your tables and employ a chef who can cope with more than 30 people you would be looking to to get double covers this time of year laughable One bit of advice if you don’t mind waiting 90 mins to 2 hours go for it...
Read moreReally poor experience, would not recommend. We waited 90 minutes for our food tonight. We were firstly informed the soup was vegetable when it was not, it was actually tomato. For mains, I ordered a medium fillet steak that came out rare, my partner ordered a medium well fillet steak which also came out rare. We sent them back and after waiting another 10 minutes, we received overly well done steaks. Mine was so over cooked it was chewy rubber and was not edible, so I didn't eat it. I informed the server that it was not acceptable and she informed the manager, who did nothing. No apologies from him, no 'can I get you something else', no discount on my meal. When the bill came out, we expressed how disappointed we were and that we would not return. The manager shrugged and did not seem to care, offering a measly 'sorry' only after complaining for the second time. He would not even look at us when we were paying the bill. Multiple other tables were complaining about the long wait times and poor service, with one table having a 3.5 hour wait for food! They were not slammed busy, there were only approx 8 tables.
