Ate here on an evening and due to a disability I'm unable to eat a large amount.
After having eaten at this establishment before I knew paramount the adults pizza of any size would be too large.
Hating to waste food we ordered 2 children's pizzas. One for me and one for my child, along with other food.
The waitress left with our order and the manager appeared quickly and very abruptly told me I was not a child so couldn't have a child's meal. I quickly explained and got instantly shot down that I can have a small adult pizza but not a child's... With no room for discussion and being immediately shot down I had no choice but to order an adults meal.
Very unaccommodating, one would assume perhaps as we contemplated afterwards that it could be due to price difference, until the bill came and a kids meal was a mere €1 less than the adults small....
Why the manager couldn't be more accommodating over a €1 disparagement is beyond laughable. I would have paid the extra euro just to have the kids pizza.
We don't get to go out much to eat because of my disability and this unfortunately ruined our meal out. Especially as when the food arrived our kids pizza was incorrect because of their managers stubbornness... so we had to wait again for them to replace it.
If I were you I would send your manager on a hospitality course.
Response Edit: I didn't want an ice pop or any juice I just wanted less food. With all due respect I don't have a small appetite I'm disabled, it is more similar to that of an allergy issue than an appetite issue. Perhaps give your managers discretionary powers to prepare a child's pizza for the small adults price, to appease people in my unfortunate situation. We won't be returning, there are plenty of places that will cater to my...
Read moreThis place appears it does not understand what hospitality is all about and has argumentative staff.
Went there today at approx 6pm. We asked for a seat to have a beer. We were advised to specifically sit on one lounge sofa which we did. We were not informed it was a smoking seat and there was lots of seating available.
Then the following happened.....
2 smokers sat on the same sofa as us. Without any polite request to us if it was OK. The staff came and served them without offer for us to move tables (the place was empty, plenty of seats).
It gets a lot worse from here....
I asked to move tables. Staff couldn't allow me and went off but didn't come back.
I decided to leave and go inside to pay. A different staff member then tried to charge me for the wrong drinks twice. I corrected them. But was then informed by the staff member 'I don't know what you ordered'. Sorry but it's your job as a restraunt to know, instead of trying to charge me double the bill twice.
Furthermore, the same staff member repeatedly wanted to argue with me and about what my complaint was, rather than listen to understand valuable feedback.
He stated that it wasn't him that asked you to sit in that seat. That is the smoking seat. And it's not him at fault.
I pointed out that it's not about you. It's about the place, the business and your hospitality.
This person should not be working in...
Read moreHair found in food (fish dish), had to re-order another dish (pizza) and by the time that arrived everyone else at the table had finished their meal and I was left to eat alone. Waitress was lovely and very understanding however manager, Frank, was very rude and refused to remove the pizza from the bill - even though this was only ordered because the hair was in my original order. The manager was extremely rude and even claimed the "small hair could have come from me" even though this was spotted straight away when the dish was put down. He had threatened to call the police because I've said I don't think I should be charge for the pizza I had to order and eat after my party had finished their meals! Frank even picked up my card and tapped to pay the bill without my consent!
