Mumbai Blue — Restaurant in Orihuela

After reading the reviews and what some os our friends have said, we finally went.

I need to be really honest. The service was amazing. Probably the most attentive service we have had in any Indian restaurant in Spain. The menu was clear with loads of choice. We are veggies and there was alot more choice than we are used to. However the whole experience lost stars because of the flavour.

We eat out a lot as you can probably tell from the amount of reviews I've written about restaurants. And we have eaten a lot of Indian cuisine. But this was just lacking flavour and spice. Which is pretty difficult to do with Indian and Punjabi food. The best part of the meal was the peshwari bread. Really disappointed with the food. But in no way can I say a bad word about the cleanliness of the restaurant or the service. We will go back again to see if the food and different dishes are any better. This is just an honest review written on this one...

3rd or 4th time we have been to Mumbai Blue. It's a lovely setting & a lovely atmosphere. Had the €9.95 early meal. And was lovely. For €9.95 you get popadoms whilst waiting for yr meal to arrive. Can have any chicken, lamb or vegetarian dish off the menu. Rice plain or garlic, or plain/garlic nam bread. We all had a different choice & all enjoyed our meal very much. You then can choose a mixed icecream pot or a coffee for afters. Was a little disappointed the icecream came in a plastic pot. Everything else was so good. Bit of a let down on tub though. The table service was fantastic, the food fantastic & the price was well worth it 😉 Good Covid practice in place. A great night had by all four of us. Thank U Mumbai Blue. It’s impossible to ignore the unpleasant experience we had because of the staff's behavior. We were forced to listen to crude and offensive jokes from the kitchen, including comments that felt targeted and inappropriate. As a person of color, I felt singled out by the jokes from the kitchen. This disrespectful culture created also manifested itself when other staff members made fun in the kitchen of our request for a bag. It is unacceptable that the staff, especially the person we believe was the owner/manager, acts in a way that creates such a disrespectful environment for guests. I left the restaurant with a sense of unease and cannot recommend this place to anyone who values a respectful...
