The positive reviews of the establishment are perplexing, as my experience was far from satisfactory. The fish was broken into two pieces & appeared to be pre-battered, the type sourced from a supermarket freezer, I do not believe for one minute that it was freshly battered in the kitchen. The fillet contained worms that had not been removed during preparation. The batter was excessively oily, and the fish had an unusual, stodgy white texture, as can be seen in the photographs. It was not nice at all, the worst that I've had, I believe. The chips were mediocre at best, not lovely full length chippy chips but half length chips, while the peas were acceptable.
The service was also lacking. There was a significant delay in both taking our order and serving the food. Additionally, the waiter engaged in inappropriate language during a conversation with an elderly couple seated nearby, whom he had never met before. The table sauces, while complimentary and a good selection, were cheap, non branded, of poor quality, and very thin and watery, indicating the establishment's cost-cutting measures to maintain low prices.
While the meal would typically be considered good value for money, I can not recommend this establishment as a genuine "Fish & Chip" shop. It appears to be a cafe attempting to emulate a fish and chip shop but failing to do so effectively.
All things considered, a rating of 2 stars is fair given my...
Read moreThis chippy came as a recommendation, but unfortunately, it didn’t deliver for me, nor would I personally class it as a fish and chip shop. Diana’s Fish and Chips might benefit from a rebrand—perhaps simply Diana’s, or Diana’s Café.
The premises were clean, spacious, and well-kept, with ample indoor and outdoor seating. There was even an alcohol bar and a wide-ranging menu that went well beyond chip shop classics. However, those classics felt more like an afterthought than the main attraction.
Regrettably, the customer service left a lot to be desired. Despite being a reasonable time of day, it felt like we’d walked in just moments before closing. There was confusion over my straightforward order, which didn’t inspire confidence.
As for the food, the cod was overly moist and mushy, which suggested it had been frozen solid and not thawed adequately before cooking. The flavour was lacking, and the crisp batter was greasy and retained too much oil. The mushy peas and curry sauce were edible, nothing more. The chips were the only item I felt was worth mentioning, but even then, they resembled supermarket frozen chips rather than fresh-cut ones.
All in all, it didn’t feel like a proper chippy experience, and not one I’d be in a hurry to repeat.

Read moreWe accidentally walked into this great place with very delicious food and amazing staff. They serve the most delicious fish I've eaten. And even the salad was excellent. The waiters are polite, very attentive and everything happens very quickly. Looking at them, you understand that this is hard work, that can be done perfectly. I'm shocked that this is possible in Spain))). Great people work here. This is the best restaurant in the region I've been to. I rarely write reviews, but this is the case when I think, I absolutely...
