We attended for my husbandās birthday (booking stated it was his birthday so they were aware). When we arrived the table wasnāt made or even cleaned, they were busy in all fairness. We were sat given menus and shortly after our drinks arrived. However this is where it goes down hill. We waited an exceedingly long time for our food order to be taken! When it was it was almost like we wasnāt welcome as we asked for the shared starter to be mixed one part satay the other teriyaki (as the first waitress said this was possible due to allergies) the waiter taking the order said they are very busy he doesnāt think this can happen. Great start. With two and throwing we finally managed to get what we ordered but the whole process made us feel like we wasnāt welcome. And from some reviews we were saddened to be made felt like this as we expected more. The chap that then brought our food had no manner just stated the dish (we did order a lot, you would think they would appreciate the business) and plonked it down absolute no thank you please etc. however the redemption came when the lovely female lady did check backs and brought us more drinks on us asking. She was the saving grace, full of smiles and very thankful. Good we have to give itās due was absolutely lovely. Itās a shame they let the volume of customers affect their attention to detail and basic hospitality skills. We visit this area regularly so not just a one off tourist. We may try in the slower season to see if they...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIāve never written a review before, but this āmealā left me no choice.
We ordered takeaway at 22:30 on a Friday night ā well before closing. People were still walking in to eat, blissfully unaware of what was about to happen to us.
The stir-fried beef? Completely flavorless, rubbery, and so uninspired it made hospital food seem gourmet. Honestly, if they told me it was boiled shoe leather, Iād believe it.
The stir-fried pork was a mystery dish from another planet: dark, dry, and oddly chewy, with random clumps of something pretending to be meat, coated in batter, and served with a sweet & sour sauce that looked like it came straight from a science experiment. Whatever it was, it didnāt look like it belonged in the human digestive system.
Even the stir-fried egg rice ā which is usually the safest, most basic thing on the menu ā was so dry and bland Iām convinced it was cooked during the morning shift⦠last week. I honestly didnāt know it was possible to mess up fried rice until now.
If Iād been eating in, Iād have sent the whole sorry mess back in record time. Instead, I just stared at it, wondering how on earth something this bad made it into a...
