La Capricciosa Cabo Roig — Restaurant in Orihuela

This is relatively new to the area but well worth a visit if you are looking for a good Italian meal.

We sat inside which was our choice and found the decor ok but it was nice to be able to see your dinner being cooked and as it's fairly small inside you always get attended quickly.

I would say the small snack of mixed nuts and crisps, albeit fresh, didn't portray a good impression. Some olives or similar would have been better. I think I'm being a little fussy about that but it's the small things that make a difference.

The food was really nice, well cooked and well presented. I had a steak in a sauce of mushrooms which was cooked how I asked although I was a little disappointed not to get any mushrooms the sauce was very well balanced and not too rich. My wife had a pasta and really enjoyed it.

Unlike some restaurants in the area the veg was fresh. No frozen chips like all the others around here. I had fresh griddled aubergine, red pepper, asparagus and potatoes.

We will definitely be going back as there's a lot on the menu i would like to try so if you want a good restaurant I would highly recommend it.

Estuvimos mi pareja y yo el lunes por la noche. Siempre intentamos conocer nuevos restaurantes y probar, las reseñas no eran malas pero nuestra experiencia allí fue muy mala. Atención nula, el servicio deja mucho que desear, pedimos 3 entrantes y un plato cada uno de segundo. El provolone fue lo único bueno de la vela, intentamos pedir en varias ocasiones otra CocaCola pero se hacía imposible amenos que te levantas y fueras a la barra tú mismo. Los mejillones error nuestro pedirlos, pero eran basura, se volvían arena, tenían trocitos pequeños de cáscara dentro, y las gambas eran congeladas y mal descongeladas...aún así esperamos a los segundos esperando ver si al menos la pizza o los canelones eran bueno, es un italiano así debería ser....primero nuestra comanda la llevaron a otra mesa, la pizza la retiraron de la mesa, los canelones no porque ya los habían probado. La pizza la dejaron en la barra durante 30 min, tocándola, manoseando la para luego después de esos minutos darle un golpe de calor y ponerla en nuestra mesa, eso sí sin los canelones que se ve que aún seguían congelados porque no había señal de ellos. Dejo la pizza sin decir nada. La cogí y entre dentro le expliqué a la que es o la jefa o encargada lo que había pasado y que todo lo habíamos visto por la ventana, ella no me lo negó y se disculpó, nos dijo que no pagáramos nada, pero aún así les dejamos dinero, porque no nos quejamos para eso, si no para que pusieran remedio y no hicieran esas cosas. Eso sí aparte del manosea a todo sin guantes y al menos yo no les vi ni una lavarse las manos, estaban sin gorro cocinando, cosa que no debería ser así, también entre ellas no había buen rollo, y estaban cada una a lo suyo, la verdad que horrible todo, no volveré jamás y no lo recomendaré a nadie...una pena. Tuvimos que terminar nuestra cena...

Best pizza in Torrevieja. The service was more than amazing. Came with water for our dog without us asking and were extremely friendly. The food was just something else. How the mozzarella feels when you take that first bite, and then you get hit with the beautiful tomato sauce covering all your 10,000 taste buds. You start to think you’re in heaven but you’re not in heaven, its the closest thing to heaven you can get from down here. Perfectly cooked. Only 4 on atmosphere because it’s a lil close to the road but it didn’t...
