We went during a relatively quiet time. There were plenty of available tables and seemed to be a good ratio of staff to customers. We all ordered from the set menu apart from one kids meal. After ordering there was a long wait before starters arrived. Long enough for staff to notice we had been waiting for ages and say that the food wouldn't be much longer..... It was. Starters were nice. Plates cleared then on to waiting again. Mains took ages to arrive. Well most of them arrived. One of our party was totally missed off. Their side arrived (so the order was taken) but the main never materialised. After waiting for about 25 minutes. Staff came to say that the missing meal was on its way. By this time we had had enough. The whole experience had been ruined for everyone really. Staff seemed clueless to the fact that no one wants to eat alone nearly half an hour after everyone else has finished. Staff said that the diner that was missed out wouldn't be charged for anything, which would have been reasonable, had it actually been the case. Wouldn't return. The service was terrible. We even had to chase up the bill as it took over ten minutes to arrive. The manager was disinterested, seemingly convinced we were at wrong for not wanting to eat in staggered sittings. I wouldn't fancy risking it at a busy time when the restaurant is full. Fortunately we managed to get a take out from one of the other restaurants in the area. Next time we would go back to Asian Fusion. It is about 5 minutes away by car and is so...
Read moreFour of us arrived for a Menu Del Dia at around 5pm (we're earlier eaters, but it means things are a bit quieter in Spain), which consists of a starter, main, side and dessert.
I went for the salad starter, which contained two prawns and a small breadcrumbed chicken with crispy salad. Didn't worry too much about the sesame sauce on the side, but liked the sour vinaigrette.
My main was a Chow Mein, containing a good mix of protein (beef, chicken, pork, prawns) and veg, with an egg fried rice to the side. Together it was quite filling.
I took the cheesecake dessert which was quite plain, topped with fruits and drizzled with strawberry compote, quite refreshing and cleansing.
All this came with a half-bottle of white wine, for the price of around 15 Euros/head
Finished with an apple schnapps, good and sour. Service was pleasant and engaging (along with a robot to carry the meals, but kept getting snagged on chairs!).
Would heartily recommend, definitely...
Read moreFirst visit on the recommendation of friends and we were not disappointed. The menu del día was very tasty and fantastic value with a good choice of starters and mains including Prawn and Duck dishes. Portions were also on the large side. The included half a bottle of very drinkable house wine pp was an added bonus. And all for less than 30€ for the two of us. Service was nice and friendly as well. We had to sit outside as we had our dog with us but the inside looked great and the toilets were lovely and spotlessly clean. Highly...
