Absolutely terrible. They have recently rebranded as Tapas & Beers, and the staff appears to be clueless to how to clean floors, clear tables, and serve customers. Some of them are polite and service minded, however, the place is an utter mess. Dirty floors with napkins and food under the chairs and tables.
Now to the nasty parts. The food. We ordered their entrecote, which comes medium rare and you can cook it to your liking on a hot slab of stone. After my 3rd or 4th slice of meet, I discovered a piece of paper stuck to the meat. Disgusting. They immediately replaced the meat, but the damage was already done.
We got our fries before the meat. The ensalada russa was dry and stale. Also, the food was cold when it arrived.
And now to the really disgusting parts. One of us was enjoying a cappuccino when he got something other than coffee in his mouth... it turns out the coffee cup had rice stuck to the entire bottom. We showed it to the staff and they quick removed the cup and asked if we wanted a new cappuccino. No thanks. We asked for the bill. When the waiter came with a full bill, I asked if could lower the amount. He said no, and bought us a shot of something instead. This is poor customer service. Rest assured, we will never go back here, and I urge everyone...
Read moreI write this post as a local to the area. I have been to this place many times and finally thought it was time to report my experiences about this place. I would also like to say that this is the lowest review I have made and normally I like to see the good in every place.
So why the low score:
You can wait ages to get served and find others arriving later will get served before you. It's just very random but always slow. I might add that I live in Spain and I am quite accustomed to slow service.
Order a drink in Spanish and you may get what you ask for. I have tried asking for a shandy and I have asked for a Clara con Limon and even said specifically I want Fanta lemon in the beer not lemonade or Casera. You get arguments about what's correct rather than give me what I ask for. Today I asked for a Jarra which is on the menu. I get a tanque which is 3 euros not 1.80
The staff don't care the service is terrible and slow. The food is mediocre when I have tried it.
I would not recommend this as an example of...
Read moreHorrible experience. Once seated, we were adviced that we would not be able to order from the menu, but choose from the small plates brought to the table by the waiters. Started with 2 plates with potato salad, and then had to wait for ages for the next serving, waiters walking straight by and serving people being seated a lot later. When we finally got served additional dishes, there was a lot of repetition, being offered the same 2-3 dishes 4-5 times, while others never made it to the table. A big plus for the fish croquettes, but apart from the beer that was the only highlight. Paid 23€ for 2 and left after 75 minutes, going home to eat a decent meal as we left hungry. Many of the warm dishes were cold, and some appeared to have been sitting out for a long time...will never go back, save your money and walk down the isle to Burger King...at least you know what to expect there even if it's a fast...
