The Hen's Teeth — Restaurant in Orihuela

Went there for my birthday there was 9 of us food was good but service was not good Most of the party had fish and chips what was lovely but when it come to cleaning the table we had to ask them and then they only took some of the plates we then had to wait to get a drink some of the staff was playing on their phone ten minutes later they came and took the rest of the plates so I ask if we could have more drinks the did not acknowledge me so waited to see if he was coming back but when he came back out he went to another table and took their order so I got up and want to the bar and told them that we have been waiting to order drinks as no one was taking out order then as I sat down the guy that we had ask come over and had a go at me saying he had his hand full with plates that should of been cleaned away 10 minutes ago I said yes but when you come back out you went somewhere else and started to take there order and he just walked away so we then waited to order Dessert when they came and took are order one of the party dessert that they said would take 10 minutes we was happy to wait the 10 minutes but 20 minutes later and still waiting so we ask the waiter and he went of and did not come back to tell us why so long the wait was as the rest of us was having ice cream so 35 minutes later it came out so will not be going back there again With...

Friendly waiter but the food was underwhelming. We were really looking forward to some good tapas and after reading reviews had high hopes for this restaurant but the tapas menu was quite small (and smaller than I’d seen online). There was only one meat dish on the tapas menu- meatballs, and one fish option- prawns. We didn’t fancy either, would have liked chorizo but they didn’t have any, other than that everything was vegetarian. Our garlic mushrooms, salted peppers and olives were all just ok. We also got chicken nachos, which were big portions but the chicken on top was cold. Also, the nachos came with tzatziki which was an odd choice to pair with it, would have preferred sour cream and only one small guacamole to share between 2 portions. We visited the restaurant on Thursday evening. I had vegan burger and fries my partner had ribs and fries. The fries were barely warm, the burger was the worst vegetarian or vegan burger I have ever had. No taste bun was soggy at bottom and my partners ribs were not that great. Julie actually said frozen rib portions in sauce from supermarkets tasted far better. I always give honest review not lies if your food had been first class you would have received a fab review. I will not eat there again I have eaten at many restaurants world wide and in Villamartin area where we live.
