L'Estret — Restaurant in Palafrugell

First of all I have eaten here today (14th of October) so I think this is not really representative for the summer season.

This local is the next to the beach and this is really perfect. Not to big with a small terrace and under my point of view two much tables for this small terrace. Inside the local the feeling is quite different. The music, it hasn't been a good match.

I have ordered "Bravas", correct (don't expect a high quality tapa) and Veggie and Octopus Burger (first and second image respectively). Looking at the image you may think "Yeahhhh!!!" but I have felt octopus not to much tasty and veggie burger, correct.

The lunch experience was very enjoyable. The Crispy Shrimp were a pleasant surprise, really delicious and full of flavor. The scallops were also good; although I found them a little small, they were tasty and well prepared.

The octopus burger was definitely the most original dish. I had never tried one before, so I came in with a certain expectation of the flavor. It wasn’t exactly what I imagined, but it was still good and worth trying for something different.

The service was excellent. The staff were assertive, quick, and very helpful, which made the whole experience even better.

Sad to have disliked the food quite a lot. Waiter was really friendly and useful. Interior design is really beautiful.

Now, the salmon tuna was below average (very tiny portion and rice was undercooked and not sticky as it should be).

Pulled pork was awful (it was a cheap supermarket hamburger with a tiny bit of “pulled pork” dressing which felt like chicken). Burger portion in particular was very satisfying though, just not tasty at all.

Waiter made some other recommendations which might have been great tough, will just not go...
