Not a very pleasant dining experience. We dont mind paying a little bit more and I am a huge seafood lover!! The ingredients are fresh enough but the chef in the restaurant is using way too much salt, which overpowers the falvour of the seafood as it is all just drawned in salt. The best part of the meal was the olive oil and bread (which was lovely).
We ordered Fried Anchovies, Gambas and Can Blau Casserole. The waiter served us a dish of Anchovies on toast (which weren't the fried ones we ordered), we asked whether they had mixed up the order and was told "we don't have Fried Anchovies on the menu". We thought we must have made a mistake and accepted it, only to find out later that what we were told is incorrect and that fried anchovies are indeed on their menu according to google.
Although it was a generous portion, the individual gambas were small and were very salty, overpowering the dish. The casserole was also overly salty. I ended up washing my casserole rice with bottled water, which did help impove it and bring back some of the flavour, but was still quite a salty taste. Read moreWe went Palamos bcz of I search for Cardinal Prawn (Carabineros) when i dig deeper and deeper I found out Gambes de Palamos is famous too even though it is not for export bcz only local market can use up all. So I put Palamos in my trip, And here “Can Blau” is famous restaurant around this area. As we checked with our airbnb host that also recommend this restaurant. Must try black ink rice on it. After half day walk around this sea-side area, we back here just before 18:00 so we are the first one couple (Asian) step up that door.

The boss was nice and honest. Bcz he told us Le Gamba L size not much bigger than M size but pay db price.So we accept his suggestion “M size” it was amazing good texture just in really simply grill - may be 1 min each side. It seems like Sashimi but not raw.
And the black ink rice Casserola Euro 45 for two, the big value will surprise you. I found some langoustine inside the rice.

Portions ridicules, aucune générosité. Et nos enfants ? Servis en dernier, sans même un menu pour eux. Le plat (des calamars) arrive seul, sans accompagnement, sans citron, sans rien. Une assiette triste comme l’accueil. Alors oui, certains plats croisés sur d’autres tables semblaient plus soignés. Mais nous, on a clairement tiré le mauvais numéro. Et pour un restaurant aussi bien noté, c’est inadmissible. Service inexistant, cuisine bâclée. Seul point positif : le serveur, conscient de la situation, a fait un geste en ne facturant pas les gambas. Geste apprécié, mais qui ne sauve pas l’expérience. Plus jamais.
