Sadly the low rating is mostly due to the very poor customer service we received. See below for breakdown.
The food - 4/5 stars. The vegan cheese was absolutely delicious, all house made and really well done. It’s all oven baked at 400 degrees, so comes out very hot and fresh. The veggies were fresh, but could have used more choices in veggies. For water they only provide very small bottles for 2€ each.
The service - 2/5 stars. The male owner we had the majority of our interaction with can really learn more about customer service. We were visiting from America and were made instantly to feel unwelcome, like it’s a “locals only” type of vibe. He was very upset that we requested a menu in English, saying we had to go online, which was impossible since as travelers we don’t have internet here. We were given no attention when it came to recommendations or further questions. Thankfully towards the end we were helped by the woman (who I also believe is an owner) and she was absolutely lovely and accommodating! She showed us multiple olive oils we could use for our pizza and was happy to explain menu items. The man needs to really re-evaluate working with the public and maybe stay in the back.
The atmosphere - 2/5 stars. Extremely packed, only a few tables, uncomfortable chairs, very...
Read moreProbably one of the best vegan pizzas I have ever tried! I love that they offer such a big variety of vegan pizzas and all the ones I‘ve tried so far were super delicious! The fact that they make their own nut „cheese“ is a huge plus for me!
The only criticism I have is that we felt quite overpowered by the owner both times we visited. We felt kind of forced to hang our jackets on the hangers because the owner told us around three times that there were hangers and that it is weird not to use them. Also one evening they were fully booked and had one table for us available for 45 minutes. We didn’t want to eat in a rush so we decided to take the pizzas as a takeaway. The owner then asked us multiple times why we didn‘t want to stay and that 45 minutes would be totally enough to eat. These were a few reasons why we weren’t sure if we wanted to come back again which is a shame because the pizzas...
Read moreWHAT AN AMAZING PIZZA SPOT! We showed up like total parachuters—no reservation and a bit nervous after reading that there are often long lines. But let me tell you: it is 200% worth it.
We tried the Ghiottona pizza, which is quite unique because it doesn’t have tomato sauce. Instead, it’s topped with mozzarella, mushrooms, pistachio mortadella, Grana Padano, and truffle cream (I’m probably forgetting something)—but it was INSANELY good.
The service was incredibly friendly. We also had a Bresaola carpaccio (10/10) and finished with a delicious torta al limone 🍋.
I’d go back as many times as needed just to try every single pizza. Thanks for creating such a perfect place for true pizza...
