This place is lovely with a really nice vibe and it's extremely busy. Unfortunately it is extremely understaffed and poorly managed. The staff are running around trying their best but it's simply too busy for the team they have. The food is extremely average which for the prices charged is not acceptable. We had fish & chips + pasta pomodoro. The fish and chips come on a well presented plate In a chip shop style paper wrap. Unfortunately, the fish (goujons) portions is barely enough for a kids meal and the hand cut chips are extremely oily. It's a good idea but poorly executed and really not worth €14.50. The pasta pomodoro is decent but bland. Strong herb flavour but not much else. The portion size is decent but again could be tweaked to be really good. The staff are rushed off their feet thus can seem abrupt. I asked my waiter and another staff member if they thought my fish portion was acceptable for the money being charged, not to mention hour it took to Arrive after ordering. They agreed it wasn't acceptable but couldn't do much as the manager wasn't there. As stated, poorly managed extremely busy place with very very slow service. It could be amazing but their focus seems to be on something else and not what the business really could be. Still paid the bill and left 8% despite the obviously...

We went to Ginger for dinner - it’s one of the better spots on the boardwalk, with cosy tables for two inside, both facing the sunset. It turned out to be great.

Priced between the top end and the middle ground, starters are around 10 euros, main courses around 18-25. Cocktails are 10-15 euros each.

We started with cocktails, which were very rich - like a smoothie with alcohol in! It’s not high art mixology, but the cocktails taste good and are a good variety of beach classics, some odd, very sugary ones specific to Ginger, and a nice gin and tonic mixer selection.

Our starter of Ham iberico with fresh focaccia was fantastic - crispy, think bread made fresh with salt, rosemary and EVOO paired with super soft ham. Excellent. Our main course of a burger and a salad were good too, although there is no discussion about how the burger is served (it’s medium well) and the fries were a little sad.

All in all, a great night out. Come for the weird bosa nova slow jam covers of old songs that are at times massively inappropriate. But stay for the good food, nice relaxed atmosphere and romantic sundown...

Taste was good. The rest not. Way too expensive for the bad service.

We ordered both pasta, Spaghetti for dinner. My friend with frutti di mare and I Cacio e Pepe con aguacate. We dont got a spoon and waited for about 5min after asking. In this time we started to aet without spoon. The frutti di mare was hot and a normal portion but my wasnt. It was only 1/2 amount of my friends portion and cold. I stopped eating after the first two forks and waited for the spoons and to tell the waiter my food is cold. After 5min I decided to bring my food to another waitress and tell her whats wrong and what we need. She brought us two spoons asap and a pot for the rest of the frutti di mare. After few minutes the waitress came with my hot pasta and said "Sorry".

After dinner we asked the waiter to pay and waited again longer. Few minutes later the other waitress asked us for any thing else. We said her we would like to pay again. The waiter dont said anything to her...

In my opinion the price is not justifiy for the quality and service. You can find much better and cheaper restaurants...

2025 update adding to my 2024 review .... decided to make the journey back to Ginger beach .... staff were great, friendly, and welcoming. Food has definitely gone downhill. Maybe a new chef, order food and was placed in front of us within 5 mins, watched other tables and most were the same, is fast good ? maybe for business but not for customers. I went for the fish and chips again as I remembered it was good ... not anymore. I would not recommend it, guessing catering for tourists in and out fast, there were empty tables while we were there (Saturday evening) had booked but doubt needed to. Will not be returning. ........... 2024 Nice looking bar / restaurant. The sunset was great from there. Went for the fish and chips, no tartar sauce (odd) gave mayonnaise. Fish was to die for, so light. Service was lacking and had to ask every step of the way, but due to the size of the bar, we can understand.

Came here on a whim. We went in and was told to grab a table on the front, facing everyone that walked past, just a rope to separate us from the path. We had calamari and some meat dish ti start. Calamari was okay, a bit of a strange textured batter but that may be how it is here in Mallorca. The meat was also a bit bland. Our mains was a fillet steak and duck confit. The duck was nicely crisped on the outside but far too pink for my liking on the inside. Practically raw in my opinion and the fat on the side was just too jelly like for me personally. The fillet steak was not steak like, seemed more a beef joint. The staff were kind while serving however when we were trying to order we was asked what the problem is.. we had ordered our starter but not main and was umder how it worked. Its is a little over priced for some items aswell.. The atmosphere was good, lively and busy.
