Mama Muu Steakhouse & Tapas — Restaurant in Palma

If I could select 0 stars I would. We arrived to the place at 20:50, we got a table for two and we ordered 2 sangria and 2 hamburgers after 5 minutes. The Sangrias were served immediately. After a while (30 minutes) we observed that customers were coming and getting their food: no sign of our hamburgers. At 9:35 my wife asked the waitress that got our order (Samira, a german girl) whats up with our hamburgers (in spanish). We got back a "si, si", but she did not head to the kitchen to ask, but kept walking around the tables. She kept going back and forth and not even looking at us. At 9:50 I ask another waiter for the bill, telling him that we wanted to leave as we did not get the food we ordered after almost a hour. He rushed to the kitchen, to appear a few minutes later telling us that the burgers were to be ready in two minutes (how much do you take to grill 2 hamburgers and toast two slices of bread?). I told him that I did not care anymore and wanted to leave. We left after paying the two Sangrias, without a single word of apology being pronunced by anyone. The order was clearly forgotten, either by the kitchen or the waitress: it happens, but upon reminder I would expect a course of action. The fact that the waitress kept ignoring us shows the lack of professionalism of the place altogheter. Perhaps the food is good, I can't say: the service is...

We landed in Mallorca, we are exhausted from our flight, we now have our car rental, our bags and everything we need to head to our hotel. Exceeeeeept we are of course STARVING. We decided to walk around this beautiful beach strip and see what’s around. Next thing you know, we land the jackpot at Mama Muú where we have our very first meal in Mallorca.

I have officially discovered and been introduced to my new addiction: alioli and pan con tomate.

The first one became my weapon. I became more and more addicted as the days went by, so much so, I had to stay away haha.

We had such a pleasant dinner here tapas style and enjoyed some wine, pan con tomate, cheese, patatas bravas, peppers and all the delicious stuff you can imagine. The bread is served warm so it’s even more addicting.

It was such a memorable and special first experience at Mallorca and our meals only got better and better from here.

Half full restaurant. Found our own seating, took a long time for the two of us to get a menu, we ordered burgers, the classic and pork, both were mediocre minus. I would rather have kebab-shop burger. Asked for dessert menu, took 15 minutes, no menu, went to register to pay. The woman behind the counter held eye contact with me/stared me in the eyes while talking a language I didn’t understand. I reply I don’t understand, I don’t speak that language. She gets angry, because she wasn’t speaking to me, while making direct eye contact with me constantly throughout her sentence.

I work as bar keeper and server in Norway, if I would have behaved like her and it was reported I would be fired. No excuse for being in tourist location, as I too work in tourist location and you just have to deal with it.
