Petit Nola — Restaurant in Palma

A thoroughly disappointing experience with amateur mistakes. We came as a group of five, having booked weeks in advance, genuinely looking forward to an enjoyable evening. What we encountered instead was a masterclass in how to ruin a guest’s night. After placing our order, one of the main dishes simply never arrived. While the rest of the table ate, one of us was left with nothing but the uncomfortable task of watching. A complete mood killer.

Mistakes happen. But what truly made the situation unacceptable was the arrogant, dismissive attitude of the staff. No apology, no gesture of goodwill—nothing but indifference. Worse still, one of the two men responsible found it amusing enough to dance mockingly in front of us while we were settling the bill. It bordered on surreal. One might politely suggest a drug test wouldn’t be out of place here.

Not even a goodbye on our way out. Just a cold silence and a bitter aftertaste. We left feeling embarrassed—for them, mostly. Needless to say, we will not...

We absolutely loved the atmosphere and the food & drinks. The watermelon lemonade was one of the most delicious drinks I have ever had, and the balinese chicken salad was really a highlight. The only downers was the service (could have been friendlier) and the table we were sitting at (a long wooden table at the back of the restaurant) was really not clean. In dire need of a good scrub with lots of soapy water would really help. The service didn’t seem to be bothered by all the stains and brought our food there anyway. We were looking for a quick lunch on sunny Sunday, without a reservation at the seaside. Not an easy task, but got lucky, managed to get a table for 3 for one hour. Service was quite fast because it worked out. Staff is flying around, although with some hiccups, they try really hard. Friendly and efficient. From three dishes, one was excellent, I will be coming back to order the same spectacular duck in curry. Nachos and Pad Thai were ok, but different than expected, my companions were not thrilled.
