Sa Farinera — Restaurant in Palma

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This place is suitable for everything from a time together with your friends to meeting up with your whole family, but I love this place as a place to have a romantic lunch or dinner with my partner. It’s the cosiest place you’ll find, and in colder times, they have outdoor heaters so you will never be cold. The smell of wood and meat hits you already when you enter the parking lot. We’ve driven here many times and never had a problem of finding a parking space. And if you by any chance arrive or leave with a taxi, the restaurant will call you a taxi that is waiting for you, literally when you’ve paid and left the premises.

And then over to the food. You should like meat and lots of it if you come here. The veggie options are actually great though. We love to start with freshly grilled vegetables. Their alioli is out of this world!!

The place itself is an old mill, and please do take time to walk around inside of the place. It’s absolutely beautiful. And to repeat myself- so so so cosy!

And yes, they do have gluten free bread.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The service is most of the time impeccable but could improve a tad, especially with the knowledge of wine of some of the staff.

This restaurant has a very fancy and beautiful atmosphere, but unfortunately it is a big disaster. They grill inside the closed space of the restaurant and between the tables and after you leave the restaurant, you realize that every cell of your body and clothes smell strongly of smoke, and this is a terrible thing for most of the customers of this restaurant who are travelers and do not have the possibility of washing clothes. Let's get to the food: First of all, they serve you with a few cloves of garlic and raw tomatoes and bread as an appetizer without you ordering them, and finally they charge you for something you did not order. Due to the busyness of the restaurant and to serve customers faster, the meat is not cooked at all and they put a piece of uncooked meat in front of you, and even after protesting and re-cooking it, the meat is completely red and uncooked. The interior design is such that there is very little light, so be sure to watch out for worms in the salad. We went to this restaurant in October 2024 and ended up paying 50 euros to stay hungry and ruin one of most important night...

We ordered steak medium and it came rare. We sent it back and it came back again rare. At this point I was done my meal and my husband was still waiting for his steak. He ordered a different cut and again it came back rare.

There are so many people packed into the restaurant that they’re rushing to cook the meat on the grill and it barely has time to get charred.

The cooks are unhygienic as well. They’re cooking infront of a hot grill and wiping their sweat with their bare hands and handling the food with no utensils.

It’s an open kitchen so this is being done infront of all guests.

When the bill came they automatically charge you for tomato, bread and olives. They set this on the table as you’re seated. We assumed it was complimentary as we didn’t order it.

We disputed the charge and they removed it from the bill.

Overall mediocre food. It’s grilled meat and potato. Nothing special. It’s moderately priced. €40 for one steak, fries, gravy, aioli,...
