Nice view out to sea, decor in the rooms is clean and simple and the balcony was a good size-however there is absolutely no privacy on the balcony as you can see the people on the balconies next to you. The hotel is over priced and claims to be more than it really is. It is just an okay hotel but it is very expensive for what it is. I think it wants to be a boutique hotel but it is closer to an upmarket hostel. There is no sound proofing at all between rooms at all so we were disturbed most of the night by drunks coming back and other night-time activity noises! Nothing wrong with all of that of course but don't stay here with kids. It isn't an appropriate hotel for kids to be in - better suited to groups of people out drinking! The rooms are quite small. The shower is in the room which is hard if you want a bit of privacy while you are getting ready. The toilet door did not actually shut at all. Bed was fine, TV worked well. |||We ate in the restaurant which was disappointing. We seemed to be a complete inconvenience to the many waitresses that were there- there was no awareness that we were guests of the hotel, didn't care to welcome us, make us comfortable or check we were ok. They had a rather strange approach to service. We asked for small plates to eat our Bruschetta and were essentially told "no" because we had ordered all the food at the same time! Am not sure I have ever had a waitress refuse to give me a plate so I can eat my food! I didn't even know how to react to this - so we all sat there not able to eat our bruschetta because we didn't have plates!! The food was poor to be honest. The pizza base was actually wet and soggy as the tomato base had just soaked through it. We left a lot of food on all our plates and yet the waitress didn't bother to ask if there had been problems with the meal. My daughter said her pasta dish was awful so I asked for a menu to see if there was something else she might like. I did eventually get given a menu but no-one ever bothered to come back and ask what we might like so we decided against it. There is no air conditioning in the restaurant and the fans are largely ineffective so it was hotter than being outside!! They really need to give the waitresses in their restaurant some customer service training!||We had to leave the hotel early in the morning. The guy on duty didn't help at all. We had kids and my mum is elderly and he didn't even help us get the door. I don't expect people to speak English but they can smile and try and be helpful.||Basically, this is a slightly below average hotel with a very poor restaurant that probably does quite well because it appears decent. Don't be fooled by the images online though. It is not a boutique or friendly hotel. Aside from the guy who checked us in - who was nice and friendly - not one member of staff spoke to us in a friendly way or even smiled at us! A rather strange place. If they want to charge those prices they should be offering better service with less surly waitresses. ||We only stayed here our last night in Majorca - our previous place had been beautiful and amazing staff so it didn't ruin our holiday. However, if this had been where we had booked for the week I would have...
Read moreEnjoyed my stay at Sauló by Puro with my sister, we stayed for 5 nights and lived very moment. Based in such a beautiful location, beach front, restaurants scattered everywhere and exceptionally friendly staff who do their best to ensure you have a great experience. Shout out to Davison who was so friendly and attentive to use ensuring we were good, asking how our day went and even gave us suggestions. Staff speak very good English and very friendly which makes the experience so helpful. Possible just ensure all staff know of the local activities and places to visit as only Davison, another guy with a beard & cool tattoos and another gentleman with longish dark brown hair tall guy knew a lot about the area. The others weren’t sure. The hotel is positioned in a beautiful location. Just make sure when booking your room that you get the view with the balcony. We didn’t cross-check our reservation and had a small room with not much storage space and poor views this was room 309. Unfortunately the hotel was fully booked so unable to change our room. Room noise was fine - slept well at night lovely bed. However, apart from this and the fact there is no onsite spa facilities, I’d highly recommend this hotel and id stay here again. First time in Palma and what a lovely introduction! Easy access and transport to the city centres and other towns. Taxi stops right in front of your hotel too - heavy luggage ask staff to help you carry them up the steps to the reception the there is a lift. Poor guy in our first day there the lift was out of service and he had to carry two heavy suitcases up two/three floors - such a champ! Airport only 8-10mins away; to get a taxi discuss pricing before though our driver added an extra €9.99 to our ride somehow. Hotel staff can book this for you too. Ubers are very frequent too. Breakfast was nice with food always stocked up with such fresh fruits so sweet! It’s the spot for lunch and dinner, always buzzing and such great vibes with guests from other hotels coming here for lunch/dinner too. I loved their pizza (cooked ham, mozzarella and tomato sauce) divine! For us the location, the beauty of the hotel (spacious ocean beach views) and the staff made this an exceptional relaxing holiday. Staff available at reception 24/7 and the area is so safe especially at night. I’d highly recommend Sauló by Puro as a place to stay especially if you plan on touring around and...
Read moreSauló by Puro is the hotel to stay at in Palma! The staff truly made our experience so wonderful especially Davison! He always greeted us with such friendliness, asking about our day, remembering our names and making sure we were okay always. Helping us to make bookings a reservations when we couldn’t call using our UK numbers. There was another gentleman who helped us make so many restaurant reservations and beach house reservations but I didn’t get him name - he knows how to work under pressure bless him and his English was so good too! He’s tall and has longish dark brown hair no glasses. The only reason for the 4 star is that we didn’t like our room and unfortunately the hotel was fully booked so nowhere to move us to. We booked via LoveHolidays and we assumed we had a room with a balcony - turns out we didn’t and the rooms with a balcony were fully booked out and were willing to pay more! Our room was okay but small and poor view from both windows with hardly any storage space for luggage or unpacking your clothes. Make sure you book a room with a balcony. The breakfast was not bad too, they tried to ensure they refilled all the dishes and good coffee. The view of the restaurant was stunning! In the you can see the sun rise and settle. You have to be there to experience it. The restaurant for lunch and dinner is very popular and always so busy - such a vibe. Staff are all lovely at the restaurant too, always smiling and friendly. It would be great if they had an onsite spa facility as we had to go to another hotel for this. I will most definitely come back to Sauló by Puro again and I’ll book directly with hotel. It felt like a family and so safe staying there (we were two ladies). The area is super safe too and so many connections to places and the airport is just 8-10mins away. So many other restaurants close by and it’s right in front of the beach too! Sauló by Puro is home, they will really take care of you and try their best to make your experience wonderful. I decorated the room for my sisters birthday and they didn’t even mind or complain - I was surprised. The housekeeping ladies were nice too. I’d highly recommend...
