Essenza bar y cafeteria — Restaurant in Peníscola / Peñíscola

We waited 30 minutes until someone took our order (by going to the bar). We ordered 2 options from the brunch menu, the bread was not as describes a country bread but a slice of white bread! No yoghurt and the "fruit" comprised of few slices of banana and some "cereals". The juice was not as a fresh natural orange juice and the coffee tasted like the coffee machine should have been cleaned. We finally got our "food" served after 50! minutes of entering and at each 9.50 Euro I told when paying that we did not get the fruit and yoghurts as per menu (which I also pointed out when we got served but the waiter only said sorry I don't have) The bill was reduced to 15.50 euro which still felt like a rip off and totally waste of time and money. First time ever I rate 1 star. Not recommening this...

Atlas Adventured recommends breakfast here. Great spot to grab food. This was our go to location for breakfast during our time in Peniscola. Bacon, egg and cheese sandwich was simple yet delicious. Smoothies are fresh and tasty also. All food and drink prices were fair and affordable. Servers were nice. Restaurant was clean and food was made to order. Try it out during your visit...

Como cafetería para pasar un rato un día de frío o de viento está muy bien, pues está protegido, pero tengo que decir también que el croissant normal grande me ha parecido malísimo, hasta me ha sentado mal. (Si se fija hay otras reseñas que afirman que la bollería es mala) Me parece muy fuerte la respuesta a esta reseña por parte de la mujer de la cafeteria. A ello le respondo lo siguiente: Sí ,siempre antes y después de consumir un alimento me lavo las manos. No sé a qué ambientador se refiere!!! El perro entró al final cuando fui a lavarme las manos por el tema de los petardos. No creo que la crítica del croissant sea como para insultarme! Por mi amplio conocimiento con este alimento considero que es de mala calidad y sí, me sentó mal nada más consumirlo. Y le dije en persona amablemente que no me gustó.

Debe aprender a tomarse las críticas mejor 💚

Si no hubiese respondido tan mal a la reseña y mucho menos insultarme hubiera vuelto a la cafetería más veces(consumiendo otro producto claro)
