Flame Bar and Restaurant — Restaurant in Pilar de la Horadada

Situated on the ground floor of the Centro Comercial Plaza Nueva, nice little restaurant offering up a nice selection of pastas, pizzas, meat dishes and a few tex-mex type dishes thrown in for good measure. We visited with a family of 7 - 4 of whom were children under 10 - and the staff were great. All seating seems to be outside which was fine because it was a very warm Sunday in August - and there was a good atmosphere not only from the restaurant itself but all the adjacent bars / restaurants which were also bustling.

We ordered pizzas and pastas, as well as burritos and quesadilla, as well as a bruschetta starter to come with the mains. All of the food was good - we ordered ‘small portions’ for the kids (which the staff offered as an option) but the portion sizes were still decent. All of the food was good quality.

Perhaps a little bit on the pricier side compared to some other nearby restaurants but we didn’t come away feeling the prices were unreasonable. An enjoyable meal and we’d definitely look to...

we had dinner here this evening, ordered cocktails with my partner and the cheesy garlic bread which was lovely. I decided on having the Peri Peri chicken for my main, which sounded really nice. However, when it turned up, it was the most anorexic chicken I had even laid eyes on. I had presumed it would have been breast but it was leg which I had seen more meat on one of the little birds legs that landed next to our table, I managed to get all of the meat of the chicken on to a single fork and finished it in 1 bite. The chips were rock hard and lifeless, almost as if they had just been chucked in the microwave prior to us turning up. I pulled the server to the side and told him and explained the situation, he mentioned to the manger my issue who just gave me daggers from across the restaurant and was very generous in knocking €0.40 off the bill with not a single apology. I was gutted as the reviews were really good on this restaurant, however I wouldn’t even let my dogs...

We didn’t end up eating here, as there were 2 large groups of diners at either side of the restaurant, and we couldn’t even hear each other speak across a small table. Tried to explain this to the staff but they were not interested so we left. Better food, service and atmosphere at the food castle anyway. In response to your reply, I am aware you have no control over the noise customers make, but when we tried to explain to your staff the reason for not staying they had no interest at all. No other option was even offered ( like an outside table ), this is the reason for my review. I already stated that we didn’t eat here but the food I saw didn’t look that good so I’m pleased with...
