Maxim Restaurant — Restaurant in Pollença

This restaurant is new, do not base your opinion on the old reviews, they are for the old restaurant. This place opened not even a month ago!!

First, the place is very nice, has great ambiance, and the waiters are very friendly and helpful with any menu questions. We were very indecisive and they helped us decide what to order based on our taste.

Second, the food is AMAZING! We stumbled on this place hungry, not sure what to expect and it blew our expectations out of the water. The entrecôte was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The grilled octopus was very tender and fresh. And the garlic shrimp (shrimp scampi) was soooo full of flavor. Everything was delicious and very well priced compared to the other restaurants in the area! It was one of the best dinners I’ve had in a long time! Not to mention, we ordered steak, grilled octopus, shrimp, grilled vegetables, and a bottle of cava, all for $68 is amazing! 10/10 would recommend! Watch out for being conned at this place.....they have a bistro and a restaurant joined together and they let you sit in restaurant and give you a menu and we asked could we order from bistro menu and was told no. Then the table next to us sat down and were given bistro menus!!!!!! I complained to the very rude lady waiter and she was waving her arms about and walked away from me. Also they ask you if you want bread and then bring a basket out and then tried to charge us 10€ for bits of bread and I complained and it was removed from the bill. I wrote an email to complain put they wudnt accept any responsibility. So just be aware especially if you have kids you need sit in the bistro end. Third visit to this restaurant as my husband was so impressed with their pizzas. Lovely thin crispy bases (obviously freshly made) and good quality toppings. Today I ordered the grilled chicken and added a mushroom sauce as I thought it might be a bit dry. How wrong was I? Beautifully cooked butterflied chicken breast, so moist and tender with tasty Mediterranean vegetables and lots of chips (more like mini roasties) which were perfect for dipping in the very tasty sauce. Honestly the best meal we've had in Port de Pollença, and watching the local kids playing football or riding their bikes in the square just adds to the ambience. Staff are just lovely too....
