Plaza Uno — Restaurant in Pollença

Myself my wife and 2 daughters came here to dine on July 25 , it was our wedding anniversary. We didn’t reserve a table anywhere as we were flying home early the next day and didn’t know what time we’d finish packing . We came across this place whilst walking through the square and looked at the menu , then I said let’s look at the menu next door before we decide . We decided to come back over to plaza uno and as we approached the tables there were 2 tables laid out but with no signs on them stating they were reserved , all other tables were busy . When I approached one of the tables a guy came out and I asked if the table was reserved , to which he bluntly said ASK! .. I’d not even sat down so I don’t know why he was so rude . He then walked inside so I was left bewildered as I was still in the dark , he then came back outside looked over to me and his face showed annoyance to which he then walked over to me and said both tables are reserved . Now this is the only restaurant in port Pollensa that doesn’t put reserved signs on tables if that’s the case . We walked away from there discusted at his manners . Very disappointed with this restaurant tonight. Waited 30 mins for a table. Food was okay nothing special. Service was slow. When I asked for the bill, got told to wait until I had finished my drink (nearly finished) then got asked to move to another table to finish as they needed the table we were sat on (not informed about this at the start of the meal). I asked for the bill again on the new table and got 10% discount and was told to “not get angry we are trying our best”. I didn’t even say anything about this problem anyway. I will not return.

Edit response to restaurant: Firstly, I asked if there was a table and was told 20 minutes, this turned out to be longer. If you don’t have space turn away customers instead of trying to rush them. I also said I wasn’t happy when we got moved tables and that’s why you said “I’ll make it worth your while” which you didn’t. The fact you even ask a customer to move tables shows poor management and hospitality to others looking at these reviews. Seriously poor attitude problems in this response! EVERYONE...

Maybe the rudest owner in Port de Pollensa. My family and I stopped to look at the menu board, to see where we'd like to eat. After taking in the menu, we then began to walk to the next restaurant to check their menu board out, as you do, before making a decision. At that stage the owner emerged and ranted at us. I was completely stunned and embarrassed. "I saw you looking at the menu- then walking away. Big mistake! Big mistake! We have been voted the second best place to eat in all of Mallorca!" He them switched to Spanish, I understood a few choice rude words, and of he went back towards the kitchen, waving his arms about. Maybe owner and chef? My three children and wife were very upset, but I just brushed it off, not wanting to spoil the evening.
