Restaurant Xinès Lluna de Mel — Restaurant in Pollença

The only similarity to China is the decor as it is not the food. What is advertised outside this restaurant and to what you get are two different worlds.

Requested the waitress to double check the Shredded Chilli Beef as this is what was advertised outside to where this appeared in the menu. We were informed twice that this came under the name of Spicy Beef in the menu.

Again, when the food arrived looked nothing like what we were expecting. After struggling to eat 1/2 the meal, decided to cut our losses, pay up and go.

Again asked why the food was not the same as advertised. Only then we were told some lame excuse that this was the a substitute as they did not have the Shredded Chilli Beef.

The spring roll was also found to be heavy in cooking oil pand the Sweet and Sour Chicken covered with some pink looking sweet corn sauce or similar and the soup was full of corn starch or flour to add bulk.

I hate being lied to or cheated. I don’t normally look to write a bad review against restaurants but I would seriously recommend others avoid this restaurant or as a minimum have them clarify exactly what they are selling you and how this...

Ate here on 5th June 2023, from the moment we stepped over the box thing at the entrance and walked up the stairs I knew we should have turned around. We were given a seat at the window and as we waited to be served we see only 2 other people. Prawn crackers arrived and drink orders taken quickly. The crackers had a brown tinge around the edges. They definitely weren’t fresh. We ordered spare ribs for starters, then a chicken fried rice and a beef curry. The ribs were deep fried and honestly tasted of fish. That was the only flavour to them. My Chicken fried rice was really salty and couldn’t find any chicken apart from a piece that looked like it was of a wing. My friend said her beef curry was a nice taste but had so little sauce she had to scrape the dish for the first serving. The majority of the beef was uncooked and other pieces were cold. We left our food and asked for the bill, the lady looked at the food and never said a thing. Honestly the worst Chinese meal we have ever been served,I think the staff...

Thought I would read some reviews before posting mine... Quite shocked at some of the other people's reviews!!

One of the better Chinese restaurants on the island, and living in Mallorca since 2009, been to quite a lot of them!

Access to the restaurant is up steps, the stair lift is broken. We visited with our month old baby, and 2 year old.

Greeted upon arrival, and felt in no rush to order while we sorted ourselves out.

Nice variety of items on the menu, and reasonably priced too!

We opted for the 4 course menu, which consisted of Chinese hors deuvres, (ribs, fried wonton, imperial spring rolls and crispy prawns), Peking duck, beef volcano and sweet and sour chicken (we changed to chicken curry). The fried rice that came with it, was s little bland, but my toddler loved it!!

Ice-cream for dessert and a coffee for me!

Service was somewhat slow, but was good, as didn't feel rushed, and had time between courses!
