I had had a terrible night before at an Inn in Sanabria and was exhausted and in a foul mood. Was starving and had no idea where I was headed other than "towards the Coast"..and somehow fate had me turning around in this parking lot. I looked up and saw the beautiful sign and interior and knew I had found a sanctuary for at least an hour until I got my bearings again. Thank you Casa Roman! From the beautiful tasty olives and freshly made bread to the succulent lamb chops, my mood began to improve. By the time my wine and Tart de Abuela kicked in, I was back in a fabulous frame of mind and ready to continue my months' long world travel expedition. Sometimes, all it takes is a great meal, a friendly and wonderful server (thank you to the kind gentleman that served me while I tortured Spanish) and a glass of wine to set you straight. Everything about this lovely place exudes elegance and grace. I would love to have the opportunity to...
Read moreOur hotel recommended this place and we decided to splurge on a real “dinner”. It was just not that great. Ok the bread was amazing. We had the burrata salad with two different kinds of tomato topped with a basil tomato infused olive oil; next, pan cooked clams (which were smoky and plump, deliciously cooked n their own juices) then local crabs (though they were not female and did not have any roe because it’s not the season) they were sweet and plump and delicious; finally we shared a grilled sole which is fileted at the table and served with a green salad and boiled potatoes. Perfectly cooked. Would...
