Let me set the scene to provide context. It was around 1930, the place was open but not a diner in sight (because the Spanish do not eat dinner until at least 2000). The atmosphere is that of a Mexican cantina, dim lit and rustic. We sat in the inclosed patio warmed by the heat of the glow lamps. Our waitress was extremely friendly, welcoming, and spoke great English. She aided us through the menu and provided us with her personal preferences on the menu items. Needless to say, we had great service all night. She brought us chips and salsa then took our order; afterward, the feast began.

We ordered a ton of food. Some food was better than others but none was bad or gross. Here’s our smorgasbord: Strawberry margarita (delicious and perfectly balanced) Queso dip (at first we didn’t know how to approach this because they didn’t provide us chips, only six tortillas. However, we got the hang of it; very tasty) Cheese quesadilla (my son got two of these. They are what you expect in taste, simple, but small in size) Cheesecake (this was the best part, very delicious and sweet) Carnitas (small but good with a slight twang) Enchiladas de mole (not my favorite. The mole was too much chocolate and not enough red chili flavor) Enchiladas gratin (this was a good dish) Tres leche (too much cinnamon and too wet for my taste) Plus three coke zeros. This all cost us €89.

Overall, the restaurant was good in flavor, atmosphere and service. It’s a great place for drinks and a hangout. Make a reservation to ensure you can take your...

Central Mexicana is the best Mexican food in Pozuelo and Majadahonda...the Margaritas are made with real fruits not from concentrate which is so delicious, the Michelada is the best too...my kids love the Caldito Talpeño (and me too) it tastes like a grandma homemade soup. In general all the food taste good they prepare all the dishes from scratch.

The personal who works there is kind, friendly and even when the place is crowded they are so relaxed. You cannot feel the stress on them.

Also, usually it is easy to find where to park and they have open kitchen all day long! The only thing is that if you are planning to go during the rush hours you need to make a reservation in advance because the place is...

You can find me here almost every other Saturday... it has an American crowd that gathers there for dinner at 6-7 pm, you know... at the right time, not late like in Spain. It's funny to spend time and see how languages change as hours passes. P.s.: Food is actually good, and spicy! They have spicier sauces like habanero upon request. Favorite Mexican restaurant for sure!
