This place was such a disappointment. I assumed it was going to be as spectacular as the Urrechu restaurant in the nearby Zoco mall, but it was in no way comparable. It almost felt like we were the first table the restaurant had ever had. It started with an awkward and confusing discussion about drinking water and then removal of glasses from the table only to be replaced by the same glasses later. The menu we received contained next to no information, and any time we asked a question it felt like we were confronting a witness in a trial who was determined to reveal as little information as possible. We had to ask for the wine list because it wasn't provided. Then, after taking our food order and collecting all the menus, the server asked if we wanted dessert, informing us that if you want dessert you must order it at the same time as you order your meal, because all of the desserts are home made. So, since the only dessert we could remember from the menu was lemon pie, and the server didn't offer to return the menus so we could check them, and we were all afraid to ask to have them back, we ordered the pie. The only thing notable about the food we received was the high price. The lemon pie was in no way, shape, or form related to lemon pie, and didn't seem to be the type of thing that requires over an hour's notice to prepare. We received some kind of citrus cream flanked on either side by another flavor of ice cream. I guess maybe you could make the case that it was a "deconstructed" pie. The atmosphere of the restaurant is unremarkable. In the dark you can't appreciate the view, and the interior feels a bit sterile. All-in-all the whole experience was a big let down, especially given our hopes based on the...
Read moreCielo de Urrechu offers an extraordinary dining experience, combining, exceptional food quality, impeccable cleanliness, and a warm, inviting atmosphere. The service is truly 'outstanding', with staff who are not only attentive but eager to make your visit special.
My husband and I celebrated Valentine’s Day here, and it was an unforgettable night. A live violinist performed throughout the evening, and at one point, he stopped by our table, asked where we were from, and played a song from our home country. That personal touch made the evening even more meaningful.
To top it all off, one of the staff members, 'Juan, so happened to be also from Paraguay', went above and beyond, as soon as he knew that other people from his country were dinning there, he was incredibly kind and surprised us with two complimentary glasses of wine. His warmth and generosity added an extra layer of magic to our experience.
I absolutely recommend Cielo de Urrechu to all my friends in 'Spain and the U.S.'. If you visit this restaurant, be sure to ask for Juan, the wonderful gentleman from Paraguay who makes every guest feel...
Read moreVery nice views. I'd say that's the thing I can point out most. Alright, it's true that the place is good. They serve good food and good quality, not criticising that.
It's just that unfortunately, it's one of those places that serve you water and water and bread and more water and then shots and stuff that you don't even ask for to then charge you for them. It's one of those things that make you be like... uneasy as a customer because you'd think that they are being nice and delivering a good service but the truth is that their kindness is not quite there, it's more like a way of making extra money and in the end... Well makes you reconsider if...
