Bodega La Era — Restaurant in Puerto de la Cruz

We ate as a group at this informal and genuine little bodega twice in a week. Simon, our waiter, was friendly, kind and very helpful, moving tables together for us and guiding us to order the right amount from the 'tapas' sharing menu.

We all absolutely loved the genuine Canarian food: try the cheese board, the gambas, the pork, the steak, octopus -in fact, anything really, it's all full of wonderful flavours, freshly prepared and cooked. The aioli was I think the best that I have ever tasted.

Thank you Simon and all the team for such enjoyable experiences. I do hope that we are able to come back some day.

Very nice place with excellent tapas. 5-6 tapas is enough for 4 persons. The point is to share them and not order your own plate, but that is also possible. We took salad, squid, steak, truffle goat cheese, croquettes and french fries because we were quite hungry (tot.72€ with drinks). The food was so good that we ate half until I remembered to take a photo. Garlic sauce was best one we have ever had! Sangria was also delicious. Service was friendly. A true gem we discovered at the entrance of Loro Park. Food was delicious, the waitresses amazingly kind and the prices are very good! Definitely not a tourist trap. We also had some nice ambiance with Spanish music and a chef cooking tapas for us on the terrace. We will definitely go back before the end...
