El Tronío tapeo con arte — Restaurant in Rota

One of the best tapas bar in Rota, Cádiz. Before describing each plate i wanted to mention every plate was full of color and flavor. Without a doubt my favorite dish were the nachos with red tuna. Good size and amazing taste! We tried the Arranque Roteño al mortero which is a local dish made with local tomatoes, green peppers, mashed with bread, so simple, so tasty. Then we have the Ensaladilla de Pulpo con mahonesa de pimentón, which was a cold potato salad with octopus, tasty! We tried the Croquetas de cocido con mahonesa de pimientos poquillos, crunchy and full of flavor. And finally we tried the Asian wok which was also good. I must say the only negative comment i can give is the wok did not come with noodles, just vegetables. When i read Wok, i imagined with noodles. Maybe the menu item should be changed to "Sauteed Vegetables". The place has great decoration, clean, well lit, and excellent service. I would definitely return to El Tronio...

Cool spot, went tapa hopping with some friends, it was a bit loud because of the construction but i can see how it would normally be lovely. Tried the dishes recommended. Potato salad, hush puppies, and eggs with peppers and spanish ham...all really good...

Quedamos para comer este viernes y la experiencia no fue positiva. El servicio estuvo bien (aunque tuvimos que pedir por cuatro veces la cuenta y esperar más de 20 minutos)... La decepción fue la relación calidad-precio. Precios muy altos, raciones más que escasas y calidad tirando a normal. Ejemplo: íbamos a pedir una ración de presa ibérica (15€ más o menos) y nos recomiendan dos. Supimos por qué: vienen 2 o 3 filetes minúsculos con un par de patatas... Era casi una tapa.

El resto de lo que pedimos fue más o menos igual.

En resumen, entiendo que es verano, la inflación y todo lo que quieras... Pero fue desorbitado, para mi punto de vista.

Nos queda todavía algo de tiempo de vacaciones. Buscaremos otras...
