Ciales Restaurant — Restaurant in Sóller

Have dined here twice before on previous visits and had a good experience so decided to try again. Will not be returning after this 3rd visit. Though the restaurant is nicely decorated and well situated, the quality of the food has gone really downhill. Not only that but the prices have gone up whilst the food that arrived was poorly executed. Ordered calamari and was dismayed to find it greasy and sloppy. Sent it back with a waiter and the waitress who took our order marched back up to the table with the plate saying, 'the calamari is good, you pay'. This is not how restaurants and service works. Had I eaten any of the food then of course but two bad calamari rings does not justify 16 euros. She was very rude and made an awful scene, insisting we pay. I stood my ground and said no, I am not paying for something that was too bad to eat. We finished the rest of our meal and left feeling rather disgruntled and disappointed, not a feeling you want on holiday. This was such bad service & a let down from previous times. Judging by the other reviews the place has gone downhill....

I was there, with my mom, about 4-5 years ago..and i ate Dorada with Olivecoat on rice with vegetables and fries parsley, which was awesome. We had almost the same exact meal (except my Mom, who took Lobster). My older Sister, took her first mussels, after that Calamari..It was perfect! White Wine, which we got served and Aioli, Bread etc.@beginning.

We came in and asked how long the food would take. They told us 10–20 minutes. Our ferry was leaving in 45 minutes, so we decided to stay and order. After 20 minutes, then 30, the food still hadn’t arrived. We asked for it to be packed to go, but were told it wasn’t even prepared yet. We explained we wouldn’t pay and left. We ended up spending 2.5 hours on the ferry hungry. Very disappointing experience.

Entramos y preguntamos cuánto tardaría la comida. Nos dijeron 10–20 minutos. Nuestro barco salía en 45 minutos, así que decidimos quedarnos y pedir. Pasaron 20 minutos, luego 30, y la comida seguía sin llegar. Pedimos que la empacaran para llevar, pero nos dijeron que ni siquiera estaba preparada. Dijimos que no íbamos a pagar y nos fuimos. Terminamos pasando 2,5 horas en el barco con hambre. Experiencia muy decepcionante.
