Outstanding! Absolutely loved this place. Wednesday night, and we were there when it opened at 8 on and were second in line. We had planned on just one tapas dish and a glass of wine, but stayed for much more. The chickpeas / garbanzo beans were delicious, and we had the "crinkly potatoes" which were very tasty indeed. The accompanying rioja was fabulous, and our waiter told us a bit about it whilst he poured it, which helps make the experience. We decided to have dessert, the black chocolate cake, and though more of a mousse than cake, it was good. The Sherry to accompany it, recommended by our waiter to go with the cake, was absolutely amazing. I would easily go back here, but go right when it opens or make a reservation (the phone was ringing pretty much all night, so good luck getting a reservation!)

Made a reservation for dinner because they had been booked up when we tried another night. Had a lovely date night. Great service with excellent wine suggestions from the waiter. We each ordered two different glasses so we could try all four. We ordered a half cheese plate, half ration of “wrinkled potatoes with sauce” (dish from Canary Islands), chicken skewers, and a meat dish to share. We also had an excellent cheesecake for dessert. Will definitely be going back to try more things on their menu! It was all excellent. There’s a reason this place is #1 in Salamanca.

Amazing experience! Look no further for a romantic dinner! The service was outstanding. Our server was Ivan who was extremely kind and professional. He explained the whole menu to us in English and Spanish and gave us recommendations. He also treated us to a slice of cheese cake with caramel sprinkles- muy rico! The restaurant ha an outdoor seating at a very quiet small plaza. The dishes have exquisite presentation and are delicious. You can order with your eyes closed and you will not regret it. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Excellent pavement dining away from the commercial buzz of the Playa Mayor. Friendly, helpful chatty service in fluent English. We had a couple of salads, the chickpeas and the iberico pork - all delicious. Wine was a bottle of godello from Zamora - unusual but very good (not just the label). Maybe should have ordered by the glass to get more variety: after all, that’s the point of a vinoteca. And we were given the lovely “cheesecake” (it doesn’t have a base) to finish with. Definitely recommended.

Attentive, English speaking staff. Excellent wines, as was the complimentary muscatel served at the end. For 3 people, we had 2 half-platters of cured cheese and meats and a huge, unusual Salamanca salad of barley sprouts. That was enough for us, leaving room for the amazing desserts (pear tart, apple tart, chocolate cake) which we enjoyed most. Good value. Definitely recommend and please reserve. We arrived around 8 pm and they managed to squeeze us in before the 10 pm reservation. 👍
