Outstanding! Absolutely loved this place. Wednesday night, and we were there when it opened at 8 on and were second in line. We had planned on just one tapas dish and a glass of wine, but stayed for much more. The chickpeas / garbanzo beans were delicious, and we had the "crinkly potatoes" which were very tasty indeed. The accompanying rioja was fabulous, and our waiter told us a bit about it whilst he poured it, which helps make the experience. We decided to have dessert, the black chocolate cake, and though more of a mousse than cake, it was good. The Sherry to accompany it, recommended by our waiter to go with the cake, was absolutely amazing. I would easily go back here, but go right when it opens or make a reservation (the phone was ringing pretty much all night, so good luck getting a reservation!)

Made a reservation for dinner because they had been booked up when we tried another night. Had a lovely date night. Great service with excellent wine suggestions from the waiter. We each ordered two different glasses so we could try all four. We ordered a half cheese plate, half ration of “wrinkled potatoes with sauce” (dish from Canary Islands), chicken skewers, and a meat dish to share. We also had an excellent cheesecake for dessert. Will definitely be going back to try more things on their menu! It was all excellent. There’s a reason this place is #1 in Salamanca.

Our best meal so far after a week in Madrid, Ribera and now Salamanca. Feels like a neighbourhood secret a little off the busy areas. Outstanding food and service from Maria! The aged dried ham (Cerrina?) on bread with almonds was melt in the mouth and full of flavour. The pork loin with Pedro Ximenez sauce was crunchy on the outside and moist inside…so good. And the potatoes with mojo sauce was so tasty I just kept eating more. Throw in a great wine list with everything by the glass and a warm local atmosphere and you’ve got the perfect experience.

We had one night in Salamanca, such a beautiful city, and chose here for dinner. It,s important to book as it,s very busy, but if you arrive at opening time you may get a table. We had toastada to start, tomato y anchoa, and a morcilla matachana i think, both delicious. We had the chicken skewers and secreto de cerdo ibérico, with papas arrugadas, spicy potatos, absolutely delicious, and very good prices, for such good food.Shared a cheese board,a great selección of cheeses, and each cheese was explained of it,s región and type, with a nice bottle of Ribero del duero Red wine. Our waitress was so friendly, all the staff are excellent, will be back on our next trip to...

Never got to eat here because we were unable to make a reservation. Called during opening hours and they did not pick up, so we (2 people) decided to go down at 20:00 to see if we could reserve a table for later that evening. Spanish is not our first language, but we tried to communicate in Spanish to one of the waitresses that we would like to book a table for later, but she completely ignored us when we greeted her. She was arrogant and rude when we asked to book and didn't even make eye contact! Decided to leave since she obviously thought she was better than us. We spent our money somewhere else. (Cuzco Bodega - much...
