We ordered drinks and food a few minutes after arriving. The drinks took a long time to arrive and when they did ,they arrived a few minutes apart with my cocktail arriving at the same time as my dinner, maybe 25/30 minutes after ordering. On first impressions the cocktail tasted lovely, and I said to my family that it was possibly the best cocktail I'd had, but almost half way through I couldn't drink anymore, it just tasted like syrup. My daughter had the pornstar martini and she really enjoyed it.
Anyway all good,we ate and enjoyed our food and we then asked for the bill. On looking at the bill, we had been charged twice for a burger, no prob they fixed it. On checking the new bill, we were charged for fillet steak when we had ordered and eaten sirloin. Again no issues and that was fixed.
I would have no problem returning to or recommending Famous Daves, the food was really lovely. The staff were also very nice and accommodating. I just feel the issues we faced were due to inexperienced /lack of waiting staff, and these issues will come...
Read moreNot a good experience. Arrived at 3pm and ordered their signature dish the "Famous Dave" burger as well as their "Pizza Dog" which was already on the pricier end but we thought we would treat ourselves.
The restaurant wasn't very busy, maybe 4 other people dining as well as us so we didn't expect a long wait. After maybe 35 minutes, they apologised that we were waiting for such a long time and we had to order more drinks which we also paid for. The food then arrived 15 minutes later and didn't look too bad.
The "Famous Dave" burger was undercooked, even as their "Medium" option, it felt cold. The Pizza dog which advertised itself as a hot dog with pizza toppings, arrived with no hot dog what so ever, and instead was a glorified pizza on a small bun. Given the food took 50 minutes to be with us and the restaurant wasn't busy, who knows what was taking them so long.
For a restaurant called Famous Dave's, it'd be more apt to rename their establishment to "Infamous Dave's" considering their €40+ price tag on a...
Read moreWe had booked our table for 5 in advance, there was only one other table in the restaurant at the time. We ordered starters and mains. Our starters came out, pulled pork croquettes which were very chewy, chicken wings and nachos which were pretty standard. We were only half way through our starters when the servers tried to take our plates as the main courses were coming out, we had to make room for our main courses while we were still eating our starters. I asked for my burger well done, it came out medium. Also it felt like our main courses had been prepared in advance, which I think is the case as they also seem to do a takeaway service. All in all a very mediocre experience. We were very disappointed as we had a great meal in their sister restaurant The Roadhouse and would have gone back there only that the music is too loud,...
