Restaurant Italià Emporio Gastronómico — Restaurant in Salou

We ate at this restaurant whilst staying in Salou on holiday. We saw the great reviews online and thought we’d try it for ourselves! We were greeted at the door by a lovely man, and we believe his wife works in the kitchen. It was relatively busy, and he single handedly ran the shop floor with an extremely friendly attitude and in a timely manner. I had the mushroom pasta dish and my partner had the pasta carbonara (we also ordered the Focaccia bread as a side dish) I can honestly say this was the BEST pasta i have ever eaten. It was fresh, clearly homemade and extremely tasty. The mushroom pasta dish was served with a huge ball of mozzarella on the top and the carbonara was rich, with a ‘bacon like’ meat and lots of cheese. The dishes were HUGE, we struggled to eat the whole thing and almost regretted ordering a side dish! I cannot recommend this place enough if you are staying in or visiting Salou. As British Tourists, often the easier option (especially if your Spanish is limited) is to eat at fast food chains but this authentic, Italian food does not even compare! Without a doubt the best food in Salou! This was real authentic Italian food at its best and the staff were amazing! Highly recommend the Beef Lasagne and the rigatoni arrabiatta and a pizza on the side! The crust was beautiful! The location is a little bit off the beaten track but don’t let this put you off! It’s well worth the walk

If you can make room for dessert it’s also a must! We opted for the pistachio cannoli and just wow!!🤩

Una auténtica joya italiana en Salou, especialmente para celíacos

Descubrimos este restaurante italiano durante nuestras vacaciones en Salou y ha sido, sin duda, uno de los grandes aciertos del viaje. Desde el primer momento, el trato fue excepcional, especialmente conmigo, ya que soy celíaca. Me ofrecieron muchísimas opciones sin gluten, y lo más importante: se tomaron muy en serio el tema de la contaminación cruzada. Quienes somos celíacos sabemos que no basta con que algo “no lleve gluten”, y aún así, muchas veces terminamos con molestias o inflamación por trazas. Aquí, todo lo contrario: comí con total tranquilidad, sin ningún tipo de reacción, lo que ya dice muchísimo.

Además, por mi trabajo he viajado mucho, tanto por España como por el extranjero, y puedo decir con total sinceridad que ha sido una de las mejores comidas italianas que he probado fuera de Italia. La comida es casera, de calidad, y se nota que la dueña es italiana: cada plato me recordó a las comidas caseras que disfruté cuando viví en Italia. Fue tan buena la experiencia que volvimos una segunda vez… ¡y no nos decepcionó en absoluto! Al contrario, fue aún mejor.

También quiero destacar que no utilizan productos prefabricados ni industriales. Muchos ingredientes son de importación directa desde Italia, lo que se nota en el sabor y en la autenticidad de los platos. Todo está cocinado con mimo y se nota en cada detalle.

El trato por parte del personal fue cálido, atento y cercano. Siempre pendientes de que no faltara nada y de que estuviésemos a gusto. De verdad, una experiencia gastronómica redonda.

Recomiendo este lugar a todo el mundo, pero si eres celíaco, este restaurante es un verdadero paraíso: podrás disfrutar sin miedo, con sabor, con calidad y con un trato humano inmejorable. Un pequeño restaurante italiano, con un gran corazón....
