Theatre Town — Restaurant in Salou

From all the reviews we were looking forward to eating here on our last night in Salou and when the mixed Tapas starters arrived we thought we'd made the right choice - even though it took ages to order the food as there is no written menu in English, you have to look at it online (be warned). My wife ordered a Yankee burger with goat's cheese. What turned up was a burger with melted cheddar cheese and an egg! No mention of egg on any of the burgers. When we complained they said the English menu was wrong when compared to the Spanish one and we were asked if we wanted it redoing. Apparently redoing means scraping off the egg and adding a lump of cold goats cheese which, together with a now cold burger, was really delightful (not). The restaurant had indoor and outdoor patio seating that was in the shade. Wait staff spoke English and had online menu in English. Wait staff was friendly and helpful. Ordered off the noon menu (menu mediodia). Had the musaka, Jamon, Beef bowl, sea bass, brownie with ice cream and white chocolate crepe. The first course was also served with tatsy warm bread. The musaka and Jamon with hard cheese were good. The beef bowl was tasty but the beef was a bit though and chewy. The sea bass was over cooked and not very good, but was serverd with good baked sweet potato slices. The brownie was served warm with ice cream and the crepe was warm with white chocolate. The food was mediocre. The starters were OK, but the chicken burritos were really a disappointment. Burger and a stake was just OK. The stake came first raw and we sat wondering what to do with it. Only when we first asked the waiter to have it more done, the other waiter came with a table cooking plate. The service was really unprofessional. The waiters were more interested in socializing with their mates on one table than taking caring of the customers. Seeing the waiter rubbing his nose several times didn’t help either.
