On the recommendation of friends, we visited this place during our trip to Salou — and it turned out to be one of the most delightful gastronomic experiences we’ve had in a long time. From the very first moments, you realize that guests here are welcomed not just as customers, but as dear friends. The restaurant owners are incredibly attentive and warm, with genuine smiles. They ask if everything was to our liking, if we’re comfortable, and are ready to chat and joke — all naturally and sincerely. The service is exemplary: fast, caring, and full of genuine attention. As for the cuisine… As someone who grew up in Russia, I can say it’s not just authentic — it feels like home. Every dish is a small journey back to childhood. The chicken tabaka is an absolute must-try: juicy, fragrant, with a perfectly crispy crust. The Olivier salad is homemade tender, just like at family celebrations. The cutlets are generous, juicy, and perfectly textured, served with real mashed potatoes — not the instant kind. The mashed potatoes are creamy and buttery, with a taste that can’t be faked. The pancakes with chicken and mushrooms deserve a special mention: thin, golden, with a generous and aromatic filling. They’re wonderful and pleasantly large enough to satisfy your hunger. The menu also offers the great option to order half portions, perfect for trying more dishes. The kvass is delicious — Lithuanian, bottled, but with that familiar bread-like flavor we love. The black bread is dense and aromatic — just like back home. The pickles are salty, a little spicy, perfectly balanced. We also tried the mussels with chapirons — very tasty. And I must highlight the French fries — crispy, golden, simply excellent. Yet, my heart truly rejoices in the flavors of home. This place feels like a little island of home where you want to keep coming back. Thank you for the warmth, taste, and care. Every time we visit Salou, we will definitely...
Read moreThis is an absolutely fascinating place. Why? Due to the personality of both sisters which own the restaurant, by the excellent housmade food and, last not least, by the correct prices. They serve excellent quality dishes which taste very very good. They have Russian specialities, as both sisters are Russian, and provide the adequate advise regarding the ingredients and taste of each dish. They are very friendly and humorous, so that the experience is very agreable. We had russian salad, croquetas, pasta, mixed vegetables, a Russian speciality, housemade applepie, The service is very attentive, fast and friendly. The name of the place is missleading as you usually do not expect a full dinner or lunch to be served at a "Cafee". Should be replaced by a more appropiate name. Also the illumination of the room could be improved with some...
Read moreWe were looking for a place to eat that wouldn't have screens or gimmicks, and hopefully provided some quality food. We hit the jackpot coming here. We had dinner here twice, and it was absolutely lovely. First evening we asked if we could have some licor crema de arroz but it wasn't available, but the second night the owner informed us she actually had some tonight! We had the paella and fideuá, and both were delicious. The service is really friendly and makes you feel very welcome. It also felt relatively cheap compared to what you will spend in other places. Typically we found this place on our last two days in Salou, so if you want to do yourself a favour; go on your first day so you can come back...
