Restaurante El Toro — Restaurant in Salou

Service was slow but seemed to only have two servers on so understandable however a manager-looking lady came over and took our drinks order as she could see we were trying to get our servers attention as we had been waiting a while so that was nice.

A table of two, like us, was sat 20 minutes after we were, served and given food before we were even though we had booked our table and came in early.

We ordered the calamari and the prawns as starters, they came out hot however the prawns had little to no flavour, and the calamari's were overcooked and rubbery also with no flavour.

For mains we ordered the steak sandwich which had a jam on rather than the caramelised onions, and the hot dog, which came with toppings that weren't included on the menu such as pickles, crispy onions, ketchup, mustard and lettuce - as well as being in a crispy ciabatta bun rather than a hot dog bun.

It filled the hole but would not go back, the servers were kind but the food and overall experience was not good, do...

We came across here whilst looking for something to eat with the In-laws while on holiday. We were seated quickly and asked for our drinks order. The drinks arrived and they asked for food orders which we requested just a tiny bit more time to think about it. Five minutes later we were ready and ordered our food. One kids meal, two ribs, one rib and chicken combo, and finally the mixed fish grill. The latter was what I had ordered and I thoroughly enjoyed it.a All the meals were a good size to the point where you could have halved the ribs as no one in my party finished it. But that's not a complaint. Why am I giving the four stars? Well the food was good. The staff friendly and helpful. It was the decor that lets it down. This has immense potential to be a great steak house but it just needs a tiny bit of love and it will get there, I would also recommend perhaps a slightly smaller menu. Would be very happy to come again next...

Worst food in the whole of salou stay clear. Repeatedly heard the microwave going off

Yes in reply to the owner I did visit recently that's why I got to taste the nasty food your serving up. You have been shut a long time over the winter? Should have stayed shut!

Not bothered about where the kitchen is but I know the sound of a microwave it sounds like a alarm clock telling you your nasty food is ready! Even if it is downstairs would have been easy to hear as the restaurant was dead just like the food. We were the only people in there which should have sent the alarm bells ringing straight away.

As for having a actual meal next time I come I will just not there ever again I've been to salou 3 times and eat in most places and yours was by far the worst.
