WISSLER // La Pineda — Restaurant in Salou

We’ve been wanting to try WISSLER for quite a while now so an opportunity came our way today. Greeted by the owner Henrik who was still buzzing after the Denmark vs. Wales game yesterday. If you’re hungry and fancied a starter, there isn’t a lot of choice other than Nachos bit but in any case it was always about their burgers. My partner had the gluten free (bun) burger with sweet potato fries and I have the spicy chicken burger with ‘farmer’s fries’. As with the majority of restaurants in Spain, ‘spicy’ tends to cater for the Spanish palate, so don’t expect a Zinger-burger flavour but that said it was still flavoursome. I had a wee taste of my partners beef burger and the meat was more Angus-style I like rather than the more commonly veal (in Spain). More importantly (for my partner) the gf bun was the best she has tasted, as gf bread tends to be very dry (which this wasn’t). Both types of fries were well seasoned. One final note... the restaurant cleanliness was excellent and we really liked the decor. This would be a great venue to catch a game during the Euros, and perhaps I’ll pop down to see Denmark vs...

WOW! This place is amazing! We got there just before 7pm after a tui rep recommended this restaurant and it opened at 7. Amazing service! Before they had even opened the doors we had a member of staff come out and talk to us about when they open and when the kitchen opens ect. We were greeted with a smile and their English was perfect! We ordered drinks first and I had the tropical dream and I kid you not this was the BEST cocktail I have ever had! We then ordered our food and it was AMAZING! It was cooked to perfection and was seasoned beautifully! Probably the best meal we’ve ever had! My partner decided to order extra sweet potato fries after we had finished our food and we had a little bit of a mix up however we spoken to a lady that works there and she soon changed it and apologised straight away for the mix up and even paid for them herself! We just had to tip them everything was just perfect!! I would 100% recommended this place!! Thankyou guys and amazing job!!! Keep up the...

Very very poor. "Burger bar" that offers one type of beef burger. So lacking in detail or options. The burger itself was very small and ordinary. Fries were disgusting. Cooked in oil from last summer it seemed. Sweet potatoes? Sour experience. An absolute scandal to pay 27 euros for this.

A quite condescending reply really. A Mexican burger with nachos really is not a valid alternative. So 2 beef burgers then is it? Wow

Sorry but those sweet potatoes fries and cheese fries made my partner vomit on her return home. Filthy oil and you can claim to change it several.times a week but I know old fatty greasy food when I taste it. This might wash with the tourists in La Pineda but not for people who eat in restaurants across Catalonia as frequently as...
