Restaurante Centrum is a very popular restaurant located in the Yumbo Centrum shopping mall in Playa del Ingles.
It has won "TripAdvisor travelers choice" for 2020, 2021 and 2022, which puts it in the top 10% in the world (for TripAdvisor).
It is a family-friendly restaurant that serves a wide variety of Mediterranean and international cuisine. The menu includes pizzas, pasta dishes, salads, steaks, and seafood.
The restaurant has a smaller dining area compared to most of the other restaurants in the area. The atmosphere at Restaurante Centrum is casual and relaxed. The staff are friendly and attentive.
I recently visited Restaurante Centrum with my partner and we had a great experience. We ordered the Paella (one of the few restaurants to offer it for 1 person), and I ordered the chateaubriand (again available for 1), Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted great.
Overall, we had a very positive experience at Restaurante Centrum. So much that we visited the next night. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was great. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Playa del Ingles.

Read moreOur visit to Restaurante Centrum was nothing short of appalling. While we had hoped for a pleasant dining experience, we were instead met with offensive and unprofessional behavior from the staff that left us deeply uncomfortable and outraged.
The evening started off rocky, but nothing prepared us for the unacceptable, racist comments made by our waiter. One particularly shocking interaction occurred when our friend, who is Black, engaged in an exchange with the waiter after being told, “The plate is hot, not you.” When our friend replied, “I’m hot too,” the waiter responded with, “No, you’re not hot; you’re Black.” This was preceded by another inappropriate comment directed at a different black friend in our group, whom the waiter immediately referred to as “LeBron James” solely based on his appearance.
These remarks weren’t just offensive—they completely ruined the atmosphere, made us feel unwelcome, and tainted the entire experience. After that, the quality of the food no longer mattered (thought it was all very average); we were too disturbed and disappointed by the blatant disrespect we had encountered.
If you care about inclusivity, respect, and basic human decency, do yourself a favor and...
Read moreVery busy and noisy place. The food is average at best. I’m suspicious how they can provide so many dishes on the menu, but when the food arrived , it’s clearly not top quality food products. The portions are a nice size but the side veg looked over boiled or had been sitting around for awhile. The deserts are nothing like the menu pictures and are tiny at 6-7 euros each .The strawberry sundae I ordered was so frozen it tasted of ice and nothing else and creme brûlée turned out to be all ice cream. I’m not quite sure how this place gets all the high reviews. The staff are so busy that communication is minimal and comes across as not having time for you as a customer . Plus people smoking at tables isn’t nice both in terrace and tables...
