I visited with my friends twice while on holiday. I work in hospitality owning my own business and understand how impactful reviews are to a business however the poor customer service has compelled me to write this review to warn other future customers and tourists. The first time we visited this restaurant we had a great experience and enjoyed very good small plates of tapas. So much so we decided to visit again and to our disappointment had a complete opposite experience. We ordered a mixture of plates including two portions of bread with aioli, one chorizo, one cheese and main courses of beef and fish fillets. One of the breads with aioli did not arrive to the table. No staff members came over to check on if we were happy with the food and enjoying which is standard practice for higher end restaurants. The fish fillet had several sharp large and small bones throughout the dish which would have been dangerous to swallow. We raised the concern with the staff who were incredibly rude and told us that a fish fillet should have bones and refused to take it off the bill. We received the bill and raised that we had been charged for two breads however only one portion arrived to the table. The waitress told us that we were lying as she brought two out to us, this was a lie. She told us in the basket there was 2 small bread rolls therefore that was the two portions. After much debate we explained how we visited the night before and only ordered one portion of bread with aioli which we received a basket with two bread rolls and two aioli which they now expected us to pay double as this was considered two portions despite the night before receiving the same amount for only one portions. The waitress disagreed and returned with our bill from the previous night to prove a point which only highlighted that we did in fact only order one portion of bread which was the same portion size as what they were expecting us to pay double for today. We explained therefore we expected double of what we ordered based on receiving the same portion which we paid for one bread dish. The waitress responded saying that was a mistake by the kitchen not her and therefore we have no choice but to pay. Despite it being her job to quality check the food being sent out? All of us are incredibly disappointed as the food despite the bone littered fish fillet was delicious. The staff need serious training as the poor customer service is a huge weakness if they expect to be successful. We couldn’t help but feel as tourists they wanted to take advantage. I have visited many places for tapas in the Yumbo and highly recommend Wapa Tapa for the premium high end food and service every single time maybe something they can take a lesson from. We certainly...

Read moreI have thought long and hard about the review on this one. However, if I'm going to bother at all I have to be honest about all of them. This was a disappointment. They do a wide range of foods and do appear to specialise in tapas, and larger portions of the same things to make more of a meal. We had decided to have a burger evening and previously gone to a nearby diner instead of this one. A lot of establishments mention 'black Angus'. This one did, but its what you do with it that matters. We both ordered cheese burgers but in my case with a starter. I didn't expect the starter to arrive literally a few seconds before the main - poor. The burger itself was just bland, with no seasoning and very little flavour, sadly. The portion of fries that came with it was meagre as well. The restaurant is obviously very popular and this review is based on one meal, but sadly I don't think we'll be back. I have had better meals at cafes; Mana 264 seems to offer more style...
