I don't know how we ended up in this restaurant, but was the worst and very last dinner of our holidays. I ordered the wrinkle potatos with mojo (I ordered this before several time in different restaurants) and what I got was baby potatos (probably from Ireland where I live) and the sauce was so garlicky that I regret it the whole night and next day morning. My husband ordered jamon serrano croquets which where massive and uncooked inside, they are usually half of the size. For main I ordered seafood spaghetti which was overly done, is like they forgot about it in the pot until someone remembered (almost mushy). My husband ask for a carbonara macaroni, which were as well over done, he said "this does not taste like carbonara and I'm getting sick" so he barely eat his meal. The other 2 spaghetti dishes as well were over done, I don't think they know the term "al dente". Another thing to notice in the pictures is the dirty cutlery, that the waiter left after removing the starter plates, in any other restaurant this always been changed for clean ones to be used with the main courses, but not here no! I was shocked how poor the service was, we were ignore by the waiter when we wanted to ask for the bill, after a while finally we got their attention.
So, no, I don't recommend this restaurant at all, unless you want eat overcharge food and bellow average.
P. S. Don't let the food pictures deceive you, the food might look good but it...
Read moreWent in after the guy on the terrace approached me several nights in a row. I ordered a bruschetta starter, and at his recommendation a sirloin steak.
The bruschetta was anything but. It was kinda like a pizza you may have made as a kid with some passata sauce a few bits of tomatoes and flavourless cheese on a bread roll.
However the worse was yet to come, the steak… I went with chips and vegetables as the side.
The piece of meat was large. This is the only positive I could find. It was however utterly flavourless and a weird texture. I didn’t even eat a third as I was worried I might get sick from the experience.
The chips were of a fair standard, but they’re just frozen French fries I guess.
The vegetable was like a mush of carrot and cauliflower and broccoli in some butter sauce, but all very flavourless. Al dente is clearly not a phrase in the chefs vocab it seems and any bit of healthy nutrition in what was once a vegetable living at the back of the deepest freeze drawer of the restaurants freezer clearly had been eradicated in the preparation.
The waitress noticed I hadn’t eaten the meat and asked if it was ok. I shared my concerns about flavour and texture, she said she’d re-heat it. I declined. She offered a peppercorn sauced I declined again. She took it away.
Wish I had continued to give this...
Read moreMaybe I just ordered the wrong food, but it was really not good. I waited very long just for my water. Probably 20 min after I ordered. The waitresses were subtly aggressive trying to get you to eat there. When I said that I didn't like the starter, which I only ate half, the waitress didn't say anything or tried to make up for it, as restaurants usually do with at least something small and nice. They have some chips while you wait and unlimited ketchup and mayo at the table, which is always a plus. But I don't get why it had to be those small plastic bags. Just put bottles. It's a bit more fancy, less waste and less sticky fingers from trying to open the tiny packages. But that's more a personal preference.
I ordered the Yumbo burger and fried cheese with marmelade as a starter. I do not reccommend these. The burger had no sauce, you had to dip it in an extra BBQ sauce, but that really didn't taste good. The fried cheese was very blant and I was hoping for sour marmelade, but it tasted just like sugar.
It was very cheap, so maybe worth the price at least. But if you want good food, go...
