Restaurante Gran Asia — Restaurant in San Bartolomé de Tirajana

We visited the restaurant largely because of its reviews and because it was one of the only restaurants serving dim sum and sashimi / sushi. The restaurant was busy and there was only one member of staff taking orders and serving, we had to wait extended periods for drinks and the bill etc, but in all honestly this is not a problem at all as we could see the staff were working hard to accommodate all customers. The one problem we had was the sashimi served was not sashimi quality fish. Both me and my daughter were violently sick with food poisoning after consuming salmon sashimi, it is the only thing we both ate during the holiday. My wife did not consume any and she was not ill. This resulted in both me and my daughter being bed bound for two days of the holiday and also having to miss a pre booked trip to aqua land which we could not obtain a refund for. This certainly put a dampener on our holiday and given the fact there are a number of items using raw fish on the menu I would implore the restaurant to take this review in the good grace it has been given in the hope that this does not happen again. have been to this restaurant in January 2023 with my partner. We have been here few times and since the first time you could feel the positive atmosphere of this amazing and elegant restaurant , the kindness of the staff (always smiling and respectful), and the quality of the food. We had different dishes in different days, and all the meals we had were absolutely delicious and the quality excellent. We had few salmon Nagiri, Salmon sashimi, vegetable soups and other chicken dishes with some vegetables. All the meals were fresh and tasty. The place is really elegant, tranquil and perfect for a nice lunch or dinner to enjoy Playa de l’Inglés. The sushi was soft, delicious and was melting in the mouth, leaving us with an extremely pleasure feeling. Me and my partner really recommend this place and we will definitely come back here next time....

We mainly came here for sushi we had duck, fish, sushi boat and some type of fried noodles with Shrimps, first of All the place didnt have table cloths unlike shown dirty place overall 100€ for this place is just bollocks we had to wait about 45 min beacuase one of the waitresses recognized a family making them food first mind you we were already waiting for 20 min when they came in the sushi boat for 2 people did not fill 1 person the shrimp noodles looked juicy on the Menu unlike when we got it the fish was OK and the duck was disgusting and DRY and based on the mixed New reviews im guessing all the 5 Stars are just bots as the owner always replies with "most as our customers are amazed with the food as you can see the reviews" also the place was quiet which is never a good thing never coming...
