Casa Mercedes — Restaurant in San Bartolomé

A restaurant with a lovely view of the beach front.. Coming here on Saturday or Sunday, they do a BBQ, which best if you book as they only do limited amount… and especially when it’s a celebration, fathers/Mother’s Day it can be difficult to get a table. Service is good, thou even thou we booked, there was a look of confusion where to seat us, only to spot our name reserved on another table 🫣. Drinks order comes out double time fast.. always a bonus! They do other foods besides BBQ, like pizzas and more. Usually a half potion of the BBQ serving is sufficient per son. You get a selection of different meats, chicken, ribs, and sausage. All seasoned.

The chicken was quite limited, and there was a lot more red meats, and sadly the chicken was dry. Saying all that, it was still tasty.

One bad point, found several people smoking which is banned here, and it seemed the staff just turn a blind eye to.. sadly .. so they lose a point for that definitely.

Anyway.. there is my honest opinion.. but remember sometimes we can be just unlikely to have a bad table on a particular day.. and may not reflect the overall performance...

Been here twice now, first time just riding past and the owner told us about the BBQ. Then went back few months later with my partner and decided to go again. It was packed, the owner did squeeze us in but told us we need to book at weekends because the BBQ is very popular. Order 2 starters, a bread, and the BBQ mixed sharing plate and 4 drinks, bill only came to around 46 euros. We rented a couple of bikes in puerto del Carmen and cycled out towards the airport. We came across this little Gem. It seems like a spot for the locals. We had a Fantastic mixed grill. 🤯 it was phenomenal. The guy that cooked it came over to take care of our bill. He was very hospitable and very appreciative of our compliments for his food he cooked us. Very unassuming place but well worth a visit. Simple, tasty and fresh food at a very reasonable price. I’d Highly recommend. We’ll be back to try the pizza at some point....
