B Star Korean Mongolian Food — Restaurant in San Sebastián

To all travelers, this place is great. This kind of place might not be in your San Sebastian guidebook, but is the perfect counterbalance to escape pintxos. Come for genuine homemade Asian flavors. Assume nothing by looks, but go by taste and service. It is a very local spot but staff were generous and encouraging even though my Spanish is extremely basic. Ordered the galbi tang and it was single-handedly the best I've ever had. It seems to be a homemade recipe that strays a little from traditional flavours, but the bone broth was rich and flavorful, the meat was just fatty enough and the seasoning was perfect and felt time-tested. The outcome is an amazing unique dish that holds its own. This place is not your tourist Asian spinoff. It's real good Asian cooking that you'd imagine was a recipe passed down from a relative. Small and quaint place with nice music.

We ordered the fried tofu and it came with three small dishes. Pickled radish (deliciously sweet and fresh), spicy green onion (amazing and so unique to us) and egg which was flavored well and super tasty My fiance is vegetarian and she loved it all. The fried tofu dish was great. She was quite happy with this choice

I had bi bim bap, very tasty. Beef portion was a bit small but tasty

Yaki soba noodles were the best I’ve ever had. Very nice sweet and savory flavor unlike anything I’ve had before. Highly recommend

This place was not welcoming. My husband and I and our 3 kids (18, 14 & 10) walked in after a rainy day walking around San Sebastian. We were told by the woman behind the bar that the kitchen was “closed” (it was 13:30). There was clearly a table for us in the restaurant, but the owner did not want to serve us. We did not eat here. I would say this place is more like D Star. A very nice Spanish man followed us out of the restaurant and suggested two other restaurants for us.
