Read moreCute place with lot of Peruvian character in it. The service is average. The food was disappointing: the leche de tigre (sauce that comes with the ceviche) lacked lime and was too salty. The lomo saltado was not authentic, it came with a broth and not soy based sauce and without rice which is the main way to serve a lomo saltado.
UPDATE based on the reply. Clearly there was a complete misunderstanding as the waiter doesn’t speak a word of English and I don’t speak Spanish. I never asked to join 2 tables for 2 persons, just didn’t want to face a wall lol, only asked to pick another table and there was a customer who helped translate, that’s it and i got over it. Plus, food is subjective but you should also take feedback constructively and either throw it in the bin or act upon it. Reading through all your negative reviews, I feel you have the same automated replies and my feedback on the salty ceviche is similar to one given to them 2 years ago 😉 , I would take the feedback seriously instead of focusing on being defensive in the replies ....
Read moreReally wanted to like this place… But… Despite it being empty and never filling up, we were given a terrible table for three in the back corner, with one of us staring into a wall. The pisco sours had a weird sickly sweet taste we couldn’t quite identify, but which wasn’t right. The ceviche had limited flavour and wasn’t even remotely spicy. A bit like if a German person was running a Peruvian restaurant, but this was ostensibly Peruvians.
Edit: the restaurant is also clearly lying in their response about how busy it was on the night we visited (at most two tables were taken), which is disappointing. We indeed ate the food, because what are we going to do, send it back and get more of the same? Particularly after we complained about the piscos and they shrugged their shoulders. With attitudes like this I cannot see this place...
