Garua — Restaurant in San Sebastián

Tried to come here for drinks at 10pm on a Sunday. Waited patiently outside until a table on the terrace became available (as this is common practice according to other similar locations in the area). After we found a free table, our group sat down and gathered around the table (we are a group of 4 women). We were soon approached by a waiter wearing a white t shirt and baseball cap, who told us that the table was reserved. We said we were sorry and we didn’t know as there were no signs anywhere and preceded to collect our things and get up but he was very aggressive, started clapping his hands and herding us up as though we were cattle. He kept shouting ‘now!!!’. He was aggressive, patronising, and trying to get us to leave immediately, even-though there was clearly no one else waiting for that table imminently, and despite the fact we were clearly apologetic and in the process of vacating the table. It was a horrible and degrading experience from a supposedly well rated establishment. I hope management sees this and addresses his foul behaviour accordingly. Highly discourage anyone from going there unless you want to be treated as cattle!!!! Much better service is available in other locations in...

Ordered some food from the bar one evening whilst on holiday in San Sebastian in August at the end of the grand week. Sadly since my order was a takeaway chicken burger (which took over 30 mins to arrive), it was only when I took it back to the hotel to eat did I find out the chicken was raw as seen in the photos. I did message the bar on IG but got no response. The manager of our pension where we were staying said he knows the owner so agreed to take it back and speak to them. After he did, the bar just said sorry and didn't offer any refund or at least a replacement meal or drinks another day to say sorry. Their excuse for the food not being cooked properly was because of a hectic week due to the grand week celebrations and that the staff are probably tired. I wouldn't recommend eating here -...

The WORST experience I've ever had in a restaurant in 37 years of being alive.

The baseball cap-wearing manager (see other customers' one star reviews) shouted for us to move because we hadn't booked.

a) Nobody told us we had to. b) Our food had arrived and we were in the middle of eating it!! c) I don't care if the other person waiting is king Juan Carlos, we are still customers and you should treat us with respect.

The man literally SNATCHED OUR PLATES away when we objected to his tone and offered to leave.

The best thing: I drank half a pint of FREE lager, a few chips and a few bites of an overpriced, greasy steak.

Avoid. Avoid. AVOID.

And send the baseball cap man to anger...
