4.5/5*

The first, the Gilda Pinxtos, had a strong salty, vinegary, pickled, spicy taste. It combines guindilla peppers, an anchovy, olives, all marinaded in good quality olive oil. This little Pinxtos bursts into the mouth in a pleasant way.

The Duck magret is the meat from ducks raised to produce foie gras, this means it is extra fatty and bigger in size. The cut was marinaded in a Smokey, spiced - burnt glaze, sided with apple sauce which mellowed out the bold flavours.

The Beef cheek was fatty, served with a creamy-rich mash, soaked in a red wine/beef stock jus, with a bursting-juicy piquillo pepper. Tender-perfection.

The Iberian ham croquettes had an incredibly rich and creamy Queso, with a light and fluffy interior texture. The crispy exterior produced a symphony of textures. The saltiness and pure gorgeous/melting flavour came from the Iberian ham.

The monk fish ceviche had a zesty vinegar taste which contrasted well to the sweet flesh of the fish. This was served with onion, coriander, sweet potato chips and corn kernels. The creamy, zesty sauce used is typical in Peruvian cuisine, ‘leche de Tigre.’

The sirloin cappachio had a unique, lemon-lime, horseradish-mustard like marinade, soaked in roots of pure olive oil, the fresh meat was accentuated on the palate.

The Garlic prawn had a light spice, topped with; Capsicum, onion, coriander and a tomato salsa. The prawns were tenderly served on a bed of highly concentrated-garlic aioli.

The Sirloin steak was cooked medium rare-medium, the sauce was fantastic- pumpkin, sweet potato, butter, nutmeg, salty, cinnamon. Although, the steak could have been cooked closer to rare, it was still delicious.

Overall, this was a fantastic introduction into the gastronomical journey within San Sebastián and the Basque...

The service was poor (bad day?). The food.... Ill be dreaming of that for years. I told our Brighton chef twice, f@#$ing amazing!!! (Lunch: asked for a cola and wine. Got 2 wine. 1 wine taken back, cola never came. Had to ask again. Ordered a second round of food and had to remind the staff twice of my order.// Went back for dinner anyway: We were completly ignored. After asking why we where told all tables where reserved. Why is there nobody at the door to tell us? Instead they let you sit and simply ignore you. Came in at 19:00, table was reserved for 19:45. At 19:15 I could order after I demanded to be helped. Food came out quick and was F....... amazing again! So no regrets there!) If this place understands service as well as there food they might earn a star! I give my Brighton chef (and companieros) 3 stars! Gracias. Greetings from...

Really liked this place! Amazing food! Should have got their earlier and with a more empty belly! I'd highly recommend the beef tartare. Delicious! My friend had a tortilla that she said was amazing. Both were from the menu and we Sat down at the bar in front of the chefs so we could see them prepare it. They also handed it out straight to us. Very well prepared, lovely servers with smiles on all their faces(not always found in San Sebastian unfortunately), and the prices were pretty great too!

The only thing I would say is, be nice, if they forget to put something on your bill - say it! It's busy enough (depending on what time you're there, it was about 10pm for us)! I had two Pixtos and we had a glass of wine each before we went to sit down. They forgot to charge us! When we reminded her she was...
