GU San Sebastián — Local services in San Sebastián

I went with a friend to have a drink and then stayed for a bit longer, we were not planning to stay because i was with my bike, but hopefully the gard acceoted to keep the bike downstairs after consulting the manager. I would say i like the music overall and the safety of the place as well as the view. After having some drinks at the bar, there was a waiter whitch took my drink (there was not much left in it) and throw it, i was disappointed because at least he should have asked me if i have finished or not but he was a bit 'rude' by saying its the same as finishing or not because its almost finished, yes we are in 2023 and there is still pepole who dont know the minimum of how to communicate but well its a detail. I was honestly disappointed and we went out but what really catch my attention is that we saw one gard outside 'hitting' a tourist!! And tnrowing him out of the bar. I am not sure what the guy did but in all the cases no one have the right to hit someone else, at least if there was not an update that i am missing... but overall i would say that the place is quite good, drinks are a bit expensive but still affordable. I dont think i will come overthere...

No iba a hablar ni a decir nada sobre esto pero la verdad, no me pienso callar. El otro dia fui con unos amigos al Gu, aqui en Donosti. Habian cerrado todos los bares de la parte vieja y decidimos ir ahi. Pagamos la entrada y fuimos a pedir nuestra copa. Hasta ahi todo bien. Eran las 4 mas o menos y nos quedamos hasta las 6. En ese tramos de dos horas hubo tres broncas y golpes, cosa que no nos tomo por sorpresa sabiendo la fama que tiene este local. Aun asi, nosotros seguimos de buen rollo bailando y disfrutando de la noche. Cuando llegan las 6 una chica la cual ya habiamos visto que estaba bastante borracha desde el principio de la noche, se estaba peleando con alguien cuando decidio girarse, y de la nada engancharme del pelo y darme un golpe en el ojo.

Cuando recibi el golpe lo unico que hice fue poner mi brazo entre las dos para que no me hiciese nada mas y ahi fue cuando mis amigos la pararon para defenderme y protegerme. Pequeño dato, en la discoteca estaban ya las barras cerradas y quedaban menos de 50 personas dentro, y nosotros estabamos en la zona donde menos gente habia, es decir, si hubiese alguno de seguridad tendria una vista clara de lo que paso. Que paso entonces? Me vino uno de seguridad para echarme de la discoteca, por haberme peleado con ella cuando claramente no lo habia hecho, y simplemente habia recibido un golpe de ella.

A pesar de decirle tanto mis amigos como yo que yo no habia hecho nada, vino con otros tres de seguridad mas y me cogio del brazo (cosa que no pueden hacer) y me dijo que me iba a la calle, y que no le hacia ni p*ta gracia que le mintiesen a la cara. Le segui diciendo que yo no habia hecho nada y el otro seguia llamandome mentirosa. Tuvo que ir la amiga de la chica que me pego (bastante ironico todo) a donde los otros de seguridad para decirles que yo no habia hecho nada para que no me echasen, y aun y eso el de seguridad despues de saber que yo no habia hecho nada ni siquiera se disculpo por el trato nefasto que habia tenido. No es la primera vez que he escuchado comentarios muy malos de la seguridad del Gu. Aparte de tratar mal a la gente, dejan entrar a gente problematica y ni siquiera vigilan como deberian para la seguridad de la gente que si va a pasarlo bien. Por mi parte, a ese local, hasta que las cosas no cambien, no pienso volver. De autentica verguenza lo que me paso a mi y a probablemente...

Amazing view and good cocktails but the service was appalling. Only two bar tenders and both were rude, unfriendly and clearly did not want to be there. I don’t understand why people work in customer facing roles if they obviously hate dealing with people. The guy in particular rolled his eyes when we ordered and then took a very long time to make the drinks. Management need to do something. Very very unpleasant. But...
