L'Anxova Divina — Restaurant in Sant Adrià de Besòs

We’ve visited this place several times before and have also stayed at hotels in this chain — overall, we’ve usually had good experiences. However, this time we encountered a disappointing mix of poor communication, unprofessionalism, and rudeness from the staff.

We came for lunch, and at first, everything seemed fine: the interior was pleasant, the music not too loud, and the atmosphere was nice. We were seated promptly and placed our order. The food was decent, though not exceptional — we ordered drinks, appetizers, and a 1kg steak. The steak was cooked well but was served completely bare, without any garnish or sauce, which felt rather underwhelming considering the price.

What truly ruined the experience was how the staff handled our loyalty membership. I mentioned that we are part of their loyalty program, which we paid €180 for, and the response was indifferent at best — a simple “so what do you want?” attitude. I explained that we were unable to access the loyalty account to show the QR code because the system wasn’t sending the login verification code — something that had happened before. I kindly asked for their help, as we were entitled to a 10% discount under the program.

I spoke to three different waiters, but no one seemed to take the request seriously. Eventually, a manager came over. I explained the issue again, even showed her the email confirming that the login code wasn’t arriving. She simply said, “I can’t help you and I won’t apply the discount.”

When I insisted and explained this had happened before and was resolved politely, she reluctantly said: “Fine, I’ll apply the discount if you prove you actually paid for the membership.” I had to search for the receipt in front of my guests — which was incredibly humiliating. Once I showed proof of payment, she applied the discount with visible irritation on her face.

We left the restaurant with a very bitter impression. It was extremely disappointing, especially given that we are loyal customers who’ve invested in their membership program.

I won’t be returning, and I certainly won’t be recommending this place to any of my friends. This kind of disrespectful attitude towards paying guests — especially those in a loyalty program — is completely...

No me alojé en el hotel ni comí en el restaurante, pero quiero contar mi experiencia.

Anoche estaba paseando por la zona y me caí de cara al piso. Me lastimé la cara, las manos, una pierna y el pecho. Estaba sangrando, sola y asustada y este fue el único lugar abierto que vi para poder pedir ayuda.

Entré de forma educada pidiendo usar el baño para al menos limpiarme las heridas, y la primera persona que me atendió me respondió con cara de desagrado “¿cómo me vas a entrar así a un hotel 5 estrellas?” Le expliqué que no sabía dónde estaba y que solo necesitaba limpiarme. Por suerte, otra empleada me indicó el baño.

Mientras iba hacia allí, escuché que la primera decía “ya verás que me van a regañar por esto.” Al salir, me hicieron salir por otra puerta y me reclamaron que al menos les agradezca.

Entiendo que tal vez la empleada intentaba cuidar su trabajo, pero me cuesta creer que esa sea la forma de hacerlo. No creo que a la dirección del hotel, ni a ningún cliente, le moleste que se ayude a una persona visiblemente herida. Me parece lamentable el trato que recibí en una situación en la que simplemente necesitaba un gesto mínimo...

El 26 de abril celebré mi 40 cumpleaños con 23 amigos en L'Anxova Divina. Gracias por hacer que todo fuera perfecto. Mar y su equipo estuvieron super pendientes en todo momento. La cena fue espectacular tanto en variedad, como sabor y cantidad de los platos. Hicimos un menú de grupo con aperitivos para compartir en el centro de la mesa y luego una carne o pescado a elegir. Eramos el primer grupo que recibían ya que han abierto hace poco y la verdad es que lo bordaron. Gracias a todo el equipo de sala y cocina. Gracias también a Matías y David por atendernos tan bien después de la cena en el lobby del hotel donde nos tomamos uns cocktails. GRACIAS por hacer que una noche especial se convirtiera en una noche ESPECTACULAR....
