Sofia Gastrobar — Restaurant in Sant Josep de sa Talaia

We went there because the location looked nice and the reviews on google were ok. Sadly we were very disappointed.

I ordered a pizza margarita which is nothing freaky, my friend had a burger (18 euros is not even cheap for that). The margarita tasted super floury, it wasn’t fully baked and the rest was just a huge ball of cheese, quality kinda like a cheap frozen pizza from the supermarket. The bacon on the burger looked disgusting and the meat in the patty was very low quality. Olives were ordered, we never got them, even the aperol was way too sweet and didn’t have any bubbles.

When we asked the service about it and told her the food wasnt really eatable and if there was a solution for that, she got super personally offended, told us we should just get food at a 5star restaurant and that its not her problem. She said she’s never heard anyone complain about the food but us (which is not true as we found similar reviews here afterwards).

I tried to talk to her to find a solution we’re both happy with, but she doesn’t care about customers or if you leave the place happily. Very sad, it’s not my job to teach her how to do customer service. Especially when you pay 18 for a bad burger, 11 for a basic but bad pizza (which we left almost completely on the table) and even don’t get an aperol for 10 Euro that tastes “normal”.

But the worst was actually the unfriendly and bad customer service when we asked for a solution nicely. Some people just shouldn’t own restaurants or work in them.

There is a nice pizza place a little down the road, we went there the night before and service and food were lovely, would recommend to just go there. I know it’s Ibiza and everything is more expensive anyways, but you should be able to cook a basic meal that is not getting people sick when u have a restaurant. I don’t normally write reviews, but I had to on this occasion incase anyone thinks of ordering from here. I spent 65€ on food (there is a 60€ minimum on Uber eats), which I’m not too fussed about as long as the food is good. Unfortunately, this was far from the case. The 16€ nachos literally inedible, rubbery, old and stale. Honestly a joke for the price, real con artists here. The burger was supposed to come with chips, in which they didn’t deliver. The milkshake was just water with some strange mix. The fruit dessert was nothing like the photo but ok. Burger was decent but for the overall price I am disgusted with what I received. I reached out to let Sofia know and she was very dismissive and offered a ‘discount for it all’… like I’d ever order from there again… laughable. THE BEST burger (veggie burger) I have ever had in my whole life. I feel like it was cooked like a smash burger, it was a beyond burger and I’ve had so many but this one was so different. The buttery brioche, the smell of the sizzled butter, perfect amount of sauce and everything about the burger , the way it was cooked, was so good it was like it was made with so much love and care honestly next level burger.
