We did not expect an open cuisine dining venue in this area. We tried the Cru. Asian Sigh 8 course menu.
Since this was more or less a one man show run by Tomeu starting with welcoming the guests, followed by service, cooking and cashing up at the end, the menu was planned in a way that the biggest chunk of the cooking part has already been done prior to the arrival of the guests. We have therefore witnesses just the tip of the entire cooking process ( e.g. frying, some chopping, assembly on the plate etc.). It was nevertheless impressive seeing him do all those tasks in a seemingly effortless, calm, polite and thorough manner. Tomeu has a lot of energy, that's for sure!
The food in my opinion was not the center of the show. This might be because of the asian inspired menu that we have tasted that evening, which seemed more like an experiment (the house classic cannelloni with shiitake was by far my favorite dish; truly tasty). Or maybe because it is a one man show, meaning that the focus of Tomeu is spread out over all those different tasks and not just the food.
It is therefore the experience that we will remember most, not necessarily the dishes that we have been served. We will return to taste the more classic flavors as soon as we get the chance.
We are happy that we were able to see a true professional do his thing in a relaxed and fun environment....

The welcome eliminated the nerves, the aperitifs eliminated any doubt. The food was magnificent; we chose the eight dish menu and instantly regretted not choosing the ten. Each dish was amazing. The first mouthful of each item seemed to make me giggle; they were just extraordinary. We let the staff choose the wines and they chose well; two whites and a red followed by a sweet red for dessert. They were superb; with varying levels of English and the venue was perfect. Informal but classy. Huevos de Soller was incredible, an absolute marvel. Quailes accompanied by the richest, most delightful sauce I've eaten in a long while; and some cannelloni and wild mushrooms were just marvellous. I loved the final sweet; it had an ironic touch definitely not lost on my partner, who had been in search of one all week. If they are still doing it when you go; you'll understand what I mean. Go and eat here, for heaven's sake. I shalln't forget...
Read moreThis was our second time visiting and it just got better. The staff are super friendly and welcoming and the restaurant is very well laid out with lots of space between tables and very comfortable atmosphere. The host recommended a really nice wine and the courses began!! The home made bread with oil and choice of dips had us salivating as we knew what was coming in the next 9 servings! The taste sensations are unbelievable. When in a restaurant I tend to look at the unusual options but go for the safe one this gives the opportunity to find out what I am missing! All the foods are locally produced indigenous foods and put combinations together that you thoroughly enjoy but the anticipation of what might come next still intrigues! I have included pictures of some of the dishes served below. Highly recommend a visit and will return my next time...
