Intimidating owner

On a quiet Wednesday afternoon, my friend and I went to Kiosco Difrutas to have a bite to eat. We ordered a Tuna salad, chicken and chips and 2 bottles of water.

The tuna salad was what was described but as my friend cut her chicken, she noticed an uncooked part. As she is pregnant, she turned back the chicken explaining to the waiter her concerns regarding eating partly uncooked chicken.

Few minutes after, what it seems to be the owner came to our table without introducing himself and started having a go at my friend saying that she is Making him waste money. Asked her if she is doing ‘this’ (returning food) everywhere she goes. 3. Approached her and tried to poke her arm. Did not let her place a word. Did not offer either an apology nor a solution.

Then, the owner shouted louder, left after my friend asked him to stop arguing and shouting as we both felt shocked, intimidated and unsafe.

As a result, my pregnant friend did not have food, we asked for the bill - he did not charge us for the chicken and thankfully 2 women supported us in this situation and 2 men sitting next to us went to complain in our behalf about this antisocial and...

Great destination for a decent selection of quality food. Very comfortable w/ (2) beach chairs and umbrella for 6 euros per day. The access to their toilet, however, becomes challenging, as the host becomes angry when having to manage the toilet access with an electronically controlled door-entry upon a guest asking, and then the guest having time to enter the toilet while also other guests are entering and leaving. Then on one of our days at this location, one of the two bathrooms was not in operation, which added to the hosts anger, when a simple out of order sign on the inoperable toilet would heighten communication among guests. The restaurant offers a fantastic view of the ocean, making it a pleasant spot for a meal by the sea. However, the restaurant tends to be quite crowded, which might detract from the experience for some.

The food itself is fairly average fast food. If you’re looking for gourmet or specialty dishes, this isn’t the place. The portions are normal, so you won’t leave hungry, but they aren’t particularly generous either. Unfortunately, we encountered several instances where they had run out of key menu items, including burgers, which was disappointing.

Additionally, the staff doesn’t speak English very well, which could lead to some communication challenges. Overall it is a decent choice if you’re hungry and not too particular about your meal. It’s okay, but...
