I wouldnt say I hated it but am very very disappointed in their wedding service. Our daughter got married here on 5th August 2017. We visited on the Friday evening and they were getting things ready and the venue looked great. I got there on the day of the wedding around 4pm....there was a cocktail reception scheduled for 4.30 and the ceremony at 5pm.
When I arrived the staff were still putting up decorations and setting the tables. All the chairs were on the beach for the ceremony so there was nowhere to sit inside the venue. My daughter had been told that we had exclusive access to our own bar, toilets and beach. WE DID NOT. The public were using the toilets walking through the reception area and wandering in off the street and looking at the tables etc. The public were handing in wet towels at our "exclusive" bar. The toilets were being cleaned at 4.30pm and there were no coctails being served people were buying their own drinks. When my daughter arrived around 4.50pm and although there was an entance directly into the reserved part of the venue she was told to walk through the public areas my husband had to walk behind her trying to keep her dress away from peoples drinks and tables.
There were no parasols on the beach initially and despite the minister making several requests the bride was never under cover.
People walked there dogs behind where the ceremony took place.
After the ceremony my husband and I went to get a drink, the barman took our order then said sorry you will have to wait as I have to go and collect glasses from the public area. I complained but still had to wait. Another guest had her order and money taken but waited 10 mins for her drink. The venue was informed that my husband is a vegetarian and does not eat meat or fish, however his meal consisted of 2 veggie kebabs and some salad....and this only after explaing again he did not eat meat or fish when they tried to put meat on his plate.
The list goes on.....my husband and I actually spoke to the owner who denied a lot of it despite being one of the ladies cleaning the toilets at 4.30!
The bar....our exclusive bar paid for till 3am shut at midnight and I had to go to the public bar. To be fair when I complained....again ....it was re-opened but it should not have shut. There was no music after about midnight as there are venue restrictions apparently.
The venue is stunning....
But they need to up their game.....this wedding was booked over a year in advance....my daughter and her husband went over to Ibiza to speak to the venue, copious emails were sent and they still didnt manage to get it right.
Luckily my daughter had a great day and we didnt let her know much about the things that I have mentioned here as it was her wedding day and her stress levels were pretty high, although the groom did ring her to ask about the cocktails while she was getting ready.
My advice would be NOT to book your wedding here until they have upped their game. As I have said the venue us amazing but they need to rope off the private areas when a wedding is planned even put a screen across to make a distinctive barrier. They took money in good faith but did not provide the service that was expected.....I am sure their bar takings were good that day as well. Jacaranda Lounge you need to...
Read moreNice large pool by the beach. Free entry sign at entrance but not clear what the free entry is for. We assumed it was free entry for the pool and sun lounger provided you bought drinks. There was no signage to indicate otherwise. We mistakenly sat in the expensive sun loungers but no staff came to tell us we needed to pay even when they approached us to order drinks. We ordered cocktails which weren’t quite up to scratch, average quality. I offered to pay at the bar and when they were delivered but the staff told us to pay at the end. After about 45 mins of being there the maître came angrily over to say we need to pay for the sun loungers. We apologised and explained we didn’t realise and no staff had informed us. We quickly moved off the loungers. She was very aggressive with her tone and said we had to pay for our drinks immediately. We then asked the bar staff which were the free seats which they informed us were the couches by the bar. We sat at the free couch for another 30 mins before leaving. The maître then shouted at us down the street to pay. We explained we thought we had paid and she accused us of doing a runner. We ended up paying £20 for the sun loungers and she was extremely rude to us and her behaviour was accusatory. We were made to feel we had done wrong despite the whole time looking for instructions. I explained it was an honest mistake as there is limited signage and the staff did not inform us. I would not return based on the way this woman treated us and to be honest we felt mislead by the free entry sign. According to the maître the free entry was only for the restaurant and bar, but I have never heard for paying to enter and...

We came here for breakfast ie waffles that were advertised on board outside as 4€ - as the menu/pricing was a bit ambiguous, I asked the waiter how much is it for waffles and he said €3.50 for waffle and topping. In fact the €4 advertised is for a plain waffle (who has that?!) and the €3.50 is for the topping, which in my case was sugar and lemon. My partner had a waffle with ice cream.
When the ‘waffle’ arrived, instead of a thick fluffy waffle, we received flat Duplo style dough discs. Dry as heck, my waffle had a bit of sugar on it and four slices of lemon on the side. If my partner hadn’t had ice cream on his, which I ended putting on mine, the waffles would have been inedible.
When the waiter took the plates, I mentioned that the waffles were very dry. He seemed uninterested, didn’t apologise or anything.
When it came to paying €28 for two waffles and drinks, I questioned the price and again mentioned about the quality of waffle. The waiter said it’s my own fault for looking at the price wrong (even though he had told me that) and when I said about the waffle being near inedible, he said ‘I don’t care’, I don’t care.
We were thinking of going here for an evening meal, but this won’t certainly be the case.
If you want uninterested service and poor quality breakfast with a rip off option, go here - otherwise AVOID -...
